We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technician for a well-established, growing company. This opportunity requires relocation to Gillette, Wyoming. The ideal candidate for the Ultrasound Technician role will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including musculoskeletal (MSK), breast, and transvaginal ultrasound studies, while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and exceptional care throughout the visit.
Ultrasound Technician Qualifications and Responsibilities:
• Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• RDMS certification required, with preferred credentials in: MSK (RMSK), Breast (RDMS-BR), OB/GYN
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in the operation of ultrasound equipment and the ability to acquire optimal diagnostic images
• Program, calibrate, and adjust ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal imaging for the specific procedure
• Utilize advanced sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures according to anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic findings
• Enter charges and document all imaging studies accurately within the electronic health record (EHR) system
Ultrasound Technician Compensation & Benefits:
• Salary range of $90K - $110K, based on experience

Summary:
The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) - Gen/Vascular uses high-frequency sound waves to generate images of patients' internal organs and blood vessels. They ensure patients are prepped for examinations, perform ultrasound scans, and analyze sonograms for diagnostic purposes. The role requires advanced technical skills, patient-centered care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Essential Work Functions:
* Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans
* Prepare and position patient to ensure accurate imaging and prioritize their comfort and safety
* Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies
* Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy
* Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards
* Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively
* Work efficiently in fast-paced and high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills:

* The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language

* Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
* Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
* Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate

Essential Work Functions:
* Demonstrate expertise in cardiac echocardiography, including the use of Doppler and 3-D imaging techniques
* Maintain strong proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and applying advanced imaging techniques specific to cardiac assessments
* Review patient history and verify orders to ensure appropriate examinations are conducted
* Educate patients and/or family members about the echocardiography procedures addressing questions if they arise
* Identify, correct, and document imaging artifacts using echo-specific methods to ensure diagnostic quality
* Maintains accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with institutional policies and regulatory standards
* Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
* Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe work environment
* Work efficiently in fast-paced and potentially stressful environments, maintaining composure and professionalism
* Follow directions from supervisors and comply with facility policies, procedures, and standards
* Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Cardiac Sonographer
