Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in adult echocardiography, including stress echo and TEE procedures.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification in cardiac sonography is required.
Experience with advanced echocardiographic techniques and devices.
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Excellent patient interaction skills with a compassionate approach to care.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures with the level of competence required by the ARDMS, ACR, and the Medical and Administrative Directors of Radiology.

The Echo Ultrasound Technician performs diagnostic sonography examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs diagnostic procedures applying prescribed methods of ultrasound technique.
Produces diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or other ultrasound.
Selects transducer and adjust equipment controls according to organ to be examined, depth of field and other specifications of test.
Explains procedures to patients so they are well informed regarding the examination and address any of their concerns.
Keys in test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test results.
Assists physician with ultrasound guided biopsies and/or invasive procedures.
Maintains and calibrate equipment to insure accuracy of results.
Updates all medical records to insure accuracy.
Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
Orients and mentor new staff members.
Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.
Monitors quality control to assure accuracy of examination.
Assists with transporting patients to and from room.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Explains procedure to patients so they may understand what is being done to them.
Prepares preliminary ultrasound report for physician.
Other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Current RDMS or must be registry eligible and registered within one year of eligibility.
Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imagining.
Current Certification in Basic Life Support.
Minimum two years working as an Imaging Tech.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
Graduate of an accredited school in Ultrasound Technology required
Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field preferred
A minimum of 6 months of related work experience post internship/externship required
A minimum of 2 years of experience post internship/externship preferred Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required to perform Echo cardiograms
Must be registered in specific ultrasound modality they perform, e.g., vascular, general
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AMA) or American Red Cross required w/in first 90 days of employment
PAY RANGE:
$31.0 - $44.36 Hourly

Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician based in Houston, TX, for a remote position. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, clinically skilled, and passionate about improving patient outcomes through accurate data review and exceptional service.
You'll play a vital role in analyzing ECG data, communicating findings to physicians, and supporting patients in the use of Artella's monitoring devices. Comprehensive training and ongoing clinical support are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Review, analyze, and interpret ECG data using Artella's proprietary quality analysis tools within established timelines.
Notify physicians promptly of patient EKG findings per notification protocols.
Contact patients to assess symptoms associated with urgent or symptomatic rhythms.
Send finalized reports to practices or hospitals as requested.
Assist patients with supply orders, education, and device troubleshooting.
Maintain ongoing communication with clinical team members and external partners.
Ensure all professional certifications remain current.
Represent Artella with professionalism and empathy in every interaction.
Participate in scheduled rotations including two weekend shifts per month and holiday coverage as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in Cardiac Monitoring, Cardiology, or Telemetry
Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Comfort working with medical technology and remote monitoring tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
Certification or formal training as an Electrocardiograph Technician (required)
