This is an opportunity to join our client's IT team and support the Firm's technology training initiatives. In this hybrid role, you'll assist in developing and delivering skills-based training, expanding our eLearning library, supporting strategies for user adoption, and coordinating training logistics. Reporting to the Legal Technology Trainer, you'll play a key role in enhancing how attorneys and staff are made aware of the available legal tools and become productive with them. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching, content creation, and helping others get the most out of technology in a professional services environment.
Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal ability, and the aptitude to learn new tasks quickly. The role requires adherence to established procedures, strong documentation discipline, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Periodic travel to other Firm offices is required. A law firm or professional services background is necessary. An associate's or bachelor's degree in a legal or technology field or equivalent work experience, is also preferred We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 and represents the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Type, transcribe and revise all communications and legal documents including memoranda, correspondence, legal documents, charts and tables using various word processing software
Manage attorney phone calls, including receiving/screening calls and setting up conference calls
Proofread all work for both content and context

Prepare and submit conflict checks and New Business Intake
Open, organize, prepare and maintain client and office files both in electronic and paper filing systems

The Bronx District Attorney's Office is currently accepting applications from law students for its 2026 Summer Internship Program. This nine-week program will run June 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026, operating on a full-time, in-person schedule, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interns will be placed in one of the Office's specialized bureaus and will receive direct supervision, mentorship, and training from an Assistant District Attorney.
Job Responsibilities:
Through our Student Practice Order, eligible interns may have the opportunity to appear on the record at arraignments, calendar calls, hearings, and trials. Interns will observe and assist with witness interviews, hearings, and trials; listen to and transcribe 911 calls; and review police reports. They will also participate in the decision-making process regarding offers and assist with plea negotiations.
Interns will engage in a rigorous and dynamic training program that includes lectures led by members of the criminal justice community and participation in several simulated practicums throughout the summer. Every effort will be made to provide each intern with a substantive writing assignment that may be used as a future writing sample in job searches.
In addition, interns will benefit from robust networking opportunities designed to support their professional development and career growth. These opportunities may include small-group conversations with Assistant District Attorneys, panels featuring senior leadership, exposure to specialized units across the Office, and meet-and-greets with members of the broader criminal justice community. These engagements allow interns to build meaningful connections, explore potential career paths, and gain deeper insight into the work of a large urban prosecutor's office.
Please note: Applicants will be required to submit their first-semester law school transcript prior to the extension of any internship offer. Instructions for submitting the transcript will be provided during the application process.
Qualifications:
Current Law Student: 1L's-JD class of 2028
Completion of a Criminal Law class
Demonstrated interest in public service, criminal law, and litigation.

FAMILY LAW "FAMILY COURT HELP DESK" PROGRAM INTERNSHIP
Location: Erie County Family Court, One Niagara Square, Buffalo, New York 14202
Time: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:15 am to 2:00 pm
Description: VLP's Family Court Help Desks are the 8th Judicial District's resource for unrepresented, low-income parties with legal questions about filing petitions, obtaining emergency relief, general handling of cases, and the overall Court process. Volunteer attorneys from the Family Court Bar, along with VLP staff attorneys, offer limited-scope consultations to clients, discussing the matter and related law with the student intern.
At the Help Desk, students will meet with pro se litigants, conduct intakes to determine eligibility, develop and improve interviewing and issue-spotting skills, discuss cases with experienced family law litigators, establish mentoring relationships, and participate in networking opportunities.
VLP attorneys also handle full representation cases for clients in a variety of family law matters. There will be opportunities to shadow the attorneys and conduct research for their cases. The work is fast-paced and emotionally challenging, but also very rewarding. Students must cover at least two of the three Help Desk shifts per week.
