    The Cart Barn/Range Attendant is responsible for providing bag, cart, and range services to members and guests. As the "front line" of the golf experience at Serrano Country Club, this position requires a commitment to exceptional customer service and professionalism at all times. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Bring golf carts from the cart barn to the staging area outside the Golf Pro Shop Inspect golf carts for safety concerns such as tire pressure and brake operation Load member and guest bags onto golf carts from bag storage Maintain and transport range balls to designated areas and ensure proper distribution Operate tractor and ball picker to retrieve range balls Wash all range balls daily to maintain quality Remove bags from golf carts and return them to designated storage areas Clean golf clubs for members and guests Ensure golf carts are properly maintained, cleaned, parked, and charged after use Report any lost clubs to the Pro Shop for lost and found processing Maintain cleanliness and order of the Bag Storage Room Assist members and guests with bag pick-ups and drop-offs Set up and break down driving range, practice chipping green, practice putting green within club guidelines and expectations. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required Follow all departmental guidelines, task checklists, and task assignments Adhere to daily operational procedures and safety protocols Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Golf Professionals and Head Golf Professional.     Job Description Job Title: Outdoor Recreation Attendant Department: Parks and Recreation Reports To: Outdoor Recreation Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Salary Range: 02 Approved By: Director, Parks & Recreation Approved Date: 05.17.2023 SUMMARY: Attends pickleball, outdoor pool, and tennis check-in's; assists in promotion, setup, and administration of outdoor recreation programs/events; takes payments for outdoor recreation facilities and keeps shops/ immediate grounds in an orderly fashion. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Inspect pickleball shop immediate building area, and equipment when needed for upkeep and safety issues taking action to correct any substandard condition. Conduct check-in procedures and collect all the proper fees. Help to maintain and police court reservation schedules. Stay current on POA rules and regulations relative to facility operations and play. Assist in the sale of merchandise and other equipment. Use tact and diplomacy in dealing with persons, verbally, electronically, or by telephone. Monitor and check court conditions for potential problems and communicate with maintenance employees or other leadership. Assist in promoting and arranging matches for property owners, visitors and guests. Assist in keeping the buildings, bathrooms and surrounding outside area clean as necessary. Aids and assists in the development, promotion, and sustainability of the facilities. Will be required to assist in other outdoor recreation activities, programs, and events. Regular attendance is required. Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor. Deliver outstanding customer service, making every effort to accommodate customer needs. Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention and safety policy, enforcing all facility and recreation location rules and regulations. Have a thorough knowledge of rules, regulations and operational use regarding POA amenity use. Maintain safe, clean amenities/facilities at all times. Report to supervisor any safety materials needed or maintenance concerns. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School degree; three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend, in English, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Parking attendants will welcome patrons and direct them to appropriate parking spots, helping to enforce the traffic and parking plan in accordance with their orientation and training. Parking attendants will then thank patrons and guide them safely out of parking lots following the event. Requirements Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Provide parking instruction/guidance/assistance to guests as they arrive Greet guests as they arrive and depart with a positive, courteous and welcoming demeanor Provide guests with directions and other venue information Places traffic cones and other event set-up materials under direction of supervisor Direct vehicles to take advantage of all spaces. Clean up debris from parking lot. Use hand signals and lights to direct patrons into open spots. Ensure vehicles have proper credentials to enter specific designated parking lots Position or remove barricades to prevent parking in certain spots. Help customers locate their vehicles. Escort customers to their vehicles if needed. Help patrons exit parking garage safely. Give directions to nearest highways or destination. Direct pedestrian traffic as required to ensure their safe passage across roadways and in proximity to moving vehicles. n certain positions, parking attendants may be required to use tickets scanners or point-of-sale technology to validate prepaid parking tickets and/or process credit card sales of onsite purchases of parking accommodations.
