Join our team as a Pro Shop Attendant at The Vineyard Golf Course! At Great Parks, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
This part time position works various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This position will provide customer service to our guests and perform retail cash register checkout and inventory stocking for golf clubhouse. Job requires basic clerical skills and excellent customer services skills.
Responsibilities:
Handles all service requests by customers including riding cart, pull cart, and golf club rentals, tee time reservations, handicaps, lesson or repair requests, general parts information requests, motor vehicle permit requests, special event inquiries, etc.
Assists Golf Pro in implementing all programs, tournaments, outings, leagues, etc.
Greets and serves customers to ensure satisfaction. Assists in locating specific golf related merchandise, answers inquiries and provides information regarding price, merchandise, etc.
Operates Point of Sale system, receives money, issues change and receipt, and bags merchandise. Balances money collected with receipts on a scheduled basis. Prepares and makes deposits in absence of Assistant Golf Pro or Golf Pro.
Arranges merchandise displays in an attractive manner. Features current, popular or other saleable items. Tags sale merchandise and takes authorized markdowns.
Takes inventory of stocked items and records results. Notifies Golf Pro of inventory shortages.
Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of golf shop, restrooms, clubhouse areas, displays, shelves, fixtures and work areas. Sweeps and mops floors, dusts furniture, empties wastebaskets, etc.
Opens shop for opening shift by counting register, checking inventory supplies, and ensuring shop is prepared for business.
Sets alarm, straightens merchandise, follows cash procedures, and performs other established procedures to close.
Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required.
Qualifications:
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required and demonstrable skill in maintaining good public relations, and prior experience in customer service.
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

This role has two (2) openings and is based onsite in Batavia, OH. In-person presence is required Monday through Friday.
A typical day in the life of a Storeroom Attendant:
Pick and issue parts to the client so they can keep their business running efficiently.
Carefully receive and review parts to make sure the client gets exactly what was ordered.
Stock parts after receipt into inventory by placing material into correct storage location and keep detailed count of inventory.
Accurately document transactions and notify the customer after parts are received.
Work and communicate with the client while delivering outstanding customer service.
Notify the buyer of any items that are out of stock.
Stock parts after receipt into inventory by placing material into correct storage location.
Deliver parts as needed.
The skills you ll contribute to our diverse team:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience (warehouse, customer service and/or storeroom experience preferred).
Willingness to cross train in storeroom responsibilities.
Ability to lift weights unaided of up to 50 pounds; higher weights using equipment such as pallet jacks.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (ERP knowledge a plus).
Willingness to work within an industrial environment where you may be exposed to heat, noise, and dirt.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Clean interior lobby, service area, and restrooms.
Maintain grounds and picnic area including mowing and trimming grass; removing leaves and snow; picking up litter; emptying trash barrels; cleaning exterior glass, outdoor fountain, picnic tables; sweeping shelter house, sidewalks, and parking areas, etc.
Must be able to work well with others and be an appropriate role model to client-employees.
Provides training and supervision of clients in all facets of janitorial work including safe and efficient operation of equipment and supplies; cleaning techniques; time management and development of good work habits; sequencing of tasks.
Communicates with supervisor regarding problems, works with Supported Employment staff, and assists in creating appropriate training and work programs.
Must be capable and responsible for proper use of all custodial equipment and supplies.
Responsible for the efficient and safe usage of all cleaning chemicals.
Responsible for final inspection of each location assigned after all duties have been performed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Assist bartender with various tasks such as, cut and continuously replenish fruit trays; stock liquor, beers, and wines; provide change when needed; and assist with cleanliness of bar
Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
Assist guests with beverage and food selection, demonstrating salesmanship with complete product knowledge. Anticipate, identify, and provide for guest needs.
Adhere to company policy by measuring all drinks using either the Berg system or a jigger
Serve wine, bottled or draft beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with proper garnishes. Mix ingredients, such as liquor, juice, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other beverages
Deliver beverage orders to guests throughout assigned section in a timely manner.
Participate in liquor glassware removal, ensuring compliance with all Ohio Gaming Commission regulations.
Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through POS system in a timely manner.
Clean and stock glassware, utensils, and bar equipment. Arrange and clean liquor bottles, beer, fruit trays, and glassware to assure that the bar environment is perceived as clean, organized, and attractive
Clean bars, work areas, and tables. Produce and complete par lists to requisition liquor and supplies.
Maintain lounge and bar area by collecting used glassware, silverware, dishes, ashtrays and debris.
Limit problems related to guests' excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service and applying any training from the responsible alcohol certification course.
Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
Receive and deliver order to appropriate venue/bar.
Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, and cleanliness of work environment.
Abide by all State, State Gaming, Federal and Corporate liquor Regulations. Also pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe and effective manner.
Consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.
Carry out duties with attention to detail, sanitation and safety.
Complete opening, closing and other side duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Pass all tests given including the training in order to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server.
Maintain a well-groomed, neat and clean appearance.
Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.

Stock, clean and manage Front of House and back storage areas; maintain excellent communication with Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team
Manage an exceptional visual presentation and cleanliness in food service area
Make, package, rotate and stock Grab and Go fridge including smoothies on the menu
Assist with product received and communicating with dock support logistics
Receive, rotate and stock snacks and beverages
Stock plates, cutlery, condiments, packaged goods, etc.
Assist with Coffee Program, and coordinate placing orders through OneSixtyTwo
Maintain a clean and organized dining room, including wiping tables, restocking caddies, pushing in chairs, etc.
Create, print, and post signage/menus for the food service areas
Sweep, mop, and scrub as needed, as well as clean floors, shelves, surfaces, equipment, etc.
Check and refill all supplies that clients use daily

QUALIFICATIONS:
2 to 3 years of customer service experience
Previous experience working as a team in/with the kitchen
Excellent hospitality skills, professional demeanor, and a service-first attitude
Extreme attention to detail
Ability to anticipate client needs and fulfill them
Knowledge of kitchen equipment, safe sanitary practices, and culinary skills
