SALARY RANGE The salary range for this role can be found in the provided link: Salary Scales ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed in relation to the position. This is not a comprehensive listing of all the responsibilities or tasks; other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate: Meet the requirements of the regular daily bus route for the purpose of transporting children to and from school in a safe and timely fashion. Follow all State and Federal rules and regulations. Report any malfunctions concerning the bus and/or special equipment. Keep the buses clean and in an orderly condition. Knowledge of rules pertaining to the transportation of school children with responsibility to advise the students on the bus of the rules and the infractions. Responsibility to report any hazardous conditions observed along the scheduled bus route and route deviations. Responsibility to maintain and rigidly adhere to the bus route schedule for both pickup and return home. Responsibility to be courteous, pleasant and demonstrate respect for all students, school personnel, parents and the general motoring public. Responsibility to immediately report unusual incidents or events and to follow the directions provided by the Dispatcher. Report to work as scheduled or before in order to prepare the bus and start the route on time regardless of weather conditions. Boards, transports, and discharges passengers. Responsibility to maintain and rigidly adhere to the bus route schedule for both pickup and return home May lift handicapped passengers and assist passengers into and out of bus as required by Transportation Services Department policy and procedure.
