Position Summary
The Attendant position is responsible for greeting and providing guests with information and assisting with room set up and tear down as well as party and gym supervision.
Essential Job Duties
Develop general knowledge of Park District programs to respond to specific questions and to direct guests to the appropriate staff.
Assist building maintenance staff to ensure proper set up and breakdown of party room.
Greet and assist guests
Oversee and supervise facility rooms/spaces assigned.
Knowledge of facility floor plan and emergency/evacuation procedures.
Knowledge of activities scheduled in the facility.
Operate office machines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Communicate maintenance issues, repairs, and room setups.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
Attend all meetings when appropriate.
Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all Hoffman Estates Park District policies and guidelines.
Attend required training and safety programs.
Perform other duties or special projects assigned.
Working Conditions
Most activities will be performed indoors.
Employee may be exposed to cleaning agents and toner chemicals.
Qualifications
Position Requirements
Prefer High School or further Education. Previous experience helpful but not necessary. General computer skills. Ability to assist guests diplomatically, handle conflicts appropriately and answer questions regarding Park District operations. The work week shall be designated by the program manager as necessary to provide proper service and support to internal and external guests.
Skills and Abilities
Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days.

A housekeeper in our hotel is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and public areas according to hotel standards and policies.
