We do not require special schooling or a college degree for this job and you will be fully trained by United.
Your United journey begins with the best Flight Attendant training in the industry! You will spend 6.5 weeks attending Initial Training in Houston, TX. Here you will learn United's safety and service standards. During training, you will be assigned your base in one of our seven hubs in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, San Franciso, Washington Dulles, or one of our other flight attendant base locations (relocation funds not provided). Following the successful completion of training and after attending base orientation in your assigned location, you will be officially welcome as a full-time United employee. While in training, United provides a stipend of $140 per week, along with dual occupancy hotel accommodations, breakfast, and either lunch or dinner (dependent on your training schedule).

Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements include:
* 21 years of age or older at time of application
* High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred
* At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry (such as retail, hospitality, food, teaching/education, aviation, social service.)
* Must be able to speak in a clear, concise, and organized manner, loudly enough to be heard in an emergency.
* Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
* Must be able to read and speak Hebrew fluently.
* Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
* Effectively communicate in the event of high-stress situations such as aircraft evacuation, security threats, delays, medical emergencies, severe weather conditions, and turbulence.

What you can expect during onboarding and training
* Flight attendant trainees must successfully complete an evacuation drill in the water (pool) during training.
* Must be willing to complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
* Must be able to pass DOT/FAA pre-employment and randomized drug screens. Medical and recreational marijuana is prohibited due to the safety-sensitive nature of the Flight Attendant position.
* Must be able to pass a 10-year background check, including criminal background history. Your background must not prohibit travel to or from anywhere United flies. For example, Canada has a strict inadmissible classification for DWI/DUI charges including misdemeanors. If you have been on probation or convicted of a DWI/DUI within the last 10 years, the Canadian government will not allow you to travel to and from Canada unless you have already received a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) from the Canadian government which will allow you to continue your work duties for a temporary period of time.
* Must, with or without reasonable accommodation, meet hearing and vision requirements as established by the Federal Aviation Administration and United Airlines, including not having hearing loss on audiometry in better ear greater than 40 dB when losses at 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz are averaged; and, each eye must be 20/40 or better corrected for both far and near vision.

The Role
Canine Coach
The leader of the playroom. Hanging out with dogs all day by maintaining a safe, clean, healthy, and fun environment while monitoring doggy daycare play groups.
Responsibilities
· Monitoring large groups of dogs while in open play
· Maintaining a clean and healthy play space
· Engage, play, and enjoy our daycare pups
· Have fun on camera! Our playrooms are equipped with webcams so pet parents can enjoy their dog's day of play
· Deep cleaning the playroom at the end of each shift
· Helping dogs reach their full potential at daycare by encouraging confidence, social skills, and good play
· Performing daily playroom activities like Follow the Leader, bacon-flavored bubbles, and hoop games

Job Purpose:
The Special Events Attendant is responsible for maintaining an inviting, positive, and safe environment at the Park Districts Cheney Mansion, Pleasant Home and Community Special Events. The Attendant is expected to be visible and engaged in daily activities in and around the facility and grounds. The Attendant assists with set up and staging of special events and programs, light housekeeping and maintaining the exterior grounds.
Essential Functions:
Assist with preparation of Cheney Mansion and Pleasant for special events and programs. This includes opening the 2

floors for events, opening restrooms and making the facility available for vendors, clients and/or patrons. This may also include the set up and take down of tables, chairs, and equipment used in special programs and closing up floors not in use at the conclusion of an event.
Greet invited guests at the Cheney Mansion and Pleasant Home entrance during client functions.
Mop and clean restrooms and refill lavatory supplies as needed. Provide light housekeeping such as mopping wood floors, vacuuming carpets and polishing woodwork as assigned.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive public image when working with patrons by addressing questions and concerns from vendors, patrons, and clients. Become familiar with the history of Cheney Mansion and Pleasant Home conduct tours as needed. Contact and ask for assistance from supervisor as necessary.
Report maintenance needs to supervisor. Clean facilities including restrooms and pick up garbage from grounds as needed. Following special events and programs return facility to a clean safe condition.
Wear proper attire for special events as directed.
Set up and prepare areas in designated parks for Community Events. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive public image when working with patrons by addressing any questions and concerns.
Additional Functions:
Attend staff meetings and training programs as specified.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or other Park District administrative personnel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Work Experience Required:
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Certification in advanced Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) within 1 month of employment and keep certification current. The District provides this training.
Must have the ability to solve problems as they arise and be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
Must be highly motivated and able to assume a positive and active role in the park, even while working under potentially stressful conditions (hot or cold weather, upset visitors, etc.)
Some experience working with special events is desirable.
