The Impact You Will Make
This role has an opportunity to make a significant impact on our customer's families and loved ones by assisting the funeral team with the transportation of loved ones into our care, and by being present and working as an attendant during services. While you are responsible for keeping the facilities clean, assisting with services, and driving vehicles, you will also be able to assist with some functions related to the coordination of legal and administrative matters associated with funeral service. Under the supervision of a licensed Funeral Director, you will be able to learn the industry and work toward a career path in death care. Your primary focus will be on:
Funeral Home upkeep, (dusting, vacuum, cleaning)
Assisting in funeral services and visitation, including: greeting of visitors, coordinating pallbearers, arranging transport and parking.
Transporting individuals with extreme care
Performing all other related functions as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year experience in client relations, facilities maintenance or related field.
A strong desire to start a career in mortuary science/end of life planning.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Possesses valid state driver's license.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and customer service skills.

Maintaining appearance of merchandise and the car lot: Cleaning vehicles inside and out while they are on our lot so that they are in pristine condition. Shining windows and mirrors, washing cars, and making sure all of the vehicle inventory looks its best. Organizing and parking vehicles with a high attention to detail and a keen sense of aesthetics.
Assisting the sales staff with transport, etc: Transporting vehicles and merchandise under the direction of the sales staff, running errands, doing whatever is necessary to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming lot conditions.

Provide one-on-one supervision to consumers who experience severe and persistent mental illnesses or have a severe emotional disturbance. Overall endeavor is to prevent hospitalization or out-of-home placement and to reintegrate consumers into the community.
Quantity: Specialist will provide PRI, PRG, and AC services as scheduled. Administrative: Specialist is an active participant in meeting related administration or treatment planning processes. Judgment: Sound judgment is used in ongoing assignments. Maintains a positive, professional and supportive relationship with consumers. Maintains a positive and professional relationship with staff from The Counseling Center and other agencies. Confidentiality is maintained at all times. Specialists keep other staff informed of unusual situations regarding consumers. Documentation: Progress notes are accurate and reflect progress toward treatment goals. Documentation is current and turned in daily.
Other Job Functions:
Build relationship and provide positive role model for the consumer.
Assist in developing & providing structured activities in order for the consumer to progress toward treatment goals.
Be in contact with designated clients and families for regularly scheduled appointments during the hours of 7 am to 9 pm to meet the client and families needs as dictated on their plan of care.
Provide opportunity to engage in routine social activities.
Maintain a safe and productive environment for the consumer.
Report any and all signs/symptoms of child abuse or neglect.
Expected to keep supervisor(s) informed of unusual situations re: consumer.
Required to keep all arranged appointments with the consumer.
Furnish respite to care-givers and families.
Provide transportation to and from activities and on occasion to an appointment.
Supervising the consumer in the least restrictive environment.
Attend training sessions as required by The Counseling Center.
Maintain and submit reports and paperwork as required in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Must have the ability to communicate positively and effectively with others, to work independently as well as be a productive part of a team. Must have a dependable vehicle and valid driver's license. Must provide proof of insurance. Pass a criminal background and drivers license check to the satisfaction of SCMH. POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Children's Attendant Care your responsibility will be to build skills such as problem-solving, social skills, personal relationships, appropriate health and hygiene and communication skills to children with serious emotional, behavioral and/or psychological disorders. You will provide one on one services in their home, community, or school, based on where the child's needs are highest. To ensure needs and goals are being met, collaboration with the child's Case Manager and excellent verbal and written communication are required.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct care services to consumers at scheduled times, while following the plan of care.
Completes required documentation with a high level of accuracy, reflective of services provided, within allotted time frame as per agency requirements.
Provides services adequately to maintain the required productivity/billing standard.
Documents and notifies the program Lead of emergency situations, concerns or incidents
Maintains accurate mileage records and electronic timesheets and ensures completion within given timeframe.
Provides support/mentoring to child, teaching self responsibility and goal achievement.

Must have strong organizational skills with attention to detail along with effective communications skills both verbally and written and the ability to develop and maintain rapport with consumers, constituents, and staff. In addition, the Children's Attendant Care/PRI Worker is expected to be at least 18 years of age. A valid Kansas drivers license and access to personal vehicle required.
