Description
As a member of Apple's Corporate Law group, you will advise on U.S. corporate and securities matters, including public company regulations, corporate secretary and governance matters, subsidiary and legal entity management, and transactional support. This role requires a highly proficient knowledge of SEC and Nasdaq rules, as well as state corporate law. Additional areas of responsibility will include supporting Apple's values reporting across environmental and supply chain matters. The position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment, and a results‑oriented approach. You will operate as part of a supportive team focused on cross‑functional collaboration within Apple to preserve Apple's differentiation, align advocacy, and advise on public company matters. You must have the ability to thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment and effectively partner across legal teams and with finance, investor relations and corporate communications teams.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience working on public company matters and transactions
Deep understanding of SEC reporting requirements and federal securities laws
Advanced knowledge of proxy statement preparation and shareholder meeting logistics
Strong understanding of stock exchange listing requirements
Strong analytical capability with attention to detail
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment and coordinate cross‑functional initiatives
JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,700 and $301,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

We're looking for an admitted attorney for an extremely promising Associate Criminal Defense Attorney position within a premier law firm with lots of room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience and further their career with an established firm in the San Francisco area. As the Associate Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney. The Associate Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and can collaborate with our wonderful Criminal Defense Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on their legal rights in matters and draw up legal documents about their case
Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and advise clients following each hearing about the best strategies
Manage court appearances, trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research
Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
Manage the workload of cases
Provide legal analysis for clients to determine any possible case benefits
Accrue additional evidence to support the client's case or for arguments against the prosecution's charges
Prepare clients for depositions; determine essential goals of case strategy and gather information from witnesses and important experts that support the client's positions
Qualifications
Experience handling complex criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with their fellow associates
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
Interpersonal skills of the highest caliber
Pay Range: $80,000-$120,000 annual salary (Pay range may be exceeded based on experience on a case-by-case basis.)
