Remote Senior Family Law Attorney (Equity Partner Track) - Lateral Partners Welcome
Remote attorney general job
*Senior Family Law Attorney* *Lead Pod Role with Existing Revenue Infrastructure* Fenchel Family Law, PC | San Francisco Bay Area | Remote Friendly *This is not a traditional job posting* This role is filled through confidential conversation, not resume screening.
Fenchel Family Law, PC is inviting a senior family law attorney to step into a lead pod role within an already operating, profitable firm structure. This is a leadership seat for an attorney who wants partner level autonomy, strong institutional support, and predictable compensation without the burden of running a firm alone.
*What already exists*
Fenchel Family Law, PC currently operates a senior led pod with associate and paralegal leverage, dedicated billing support, and consistent high asset matters.
That pod runs independently, profitably, and without bottlenecks. This role mirrors that structure.
You are not asked to build something from scratch. You are stepping into a proven operating model.
*The role*
You lead your own pod.
You control your caseload, strategy, and standards while practicing within a firm that provides infrastructure, marketing, billing, collections, and administrative support.
You are trusted to exercise judgment, discretion, and leadership.
This role supports remote practice, with Bay Area court appearances and in person collaboration as appropriate.
*What you will do*
* Lead complex divorce and contested custody matters independently
* Advise clients on high stakes financial and parenting decisions
* First chair trials and contested hearings when litigation is required
* Select and supervise associate attorneys supporting your pod
* Set strategy, delegate execution, and maintain quality control
* Collaborate laterally with firm leadership on growth and refinement
*How practice works here*
Senior attorneys at Fenchel Family Law, PC:
* Begin cases with clear written strategy and expectations
* Communicate proactively with clients through written updates
* Follow up after hearings and major milestones
* Respond to client communications by the next business day
* Practice with discipline, preparation, and professionalism
This is not aspirational. This is the existing standard.
*Autonomy and case selection*
Because the firm has a consistent marketing engine, you are not dependent on accepting every case.
You decide:
* Which matters align with your judgment
* How your practice is shaped
* When to litigate and when to resolve
Quality matters more than volume.
*Billing and collections*
The firm handles billing and collections.
Senior attorneys do not chase payments or manage uncomfortable financial conversations.
The firm maintains a 99 percent collection rate.
Your time stays focused on strategy, leadership, and results.
*Compensation structure*
This role supports total annual compensation exceeding $340,000, excluding origination bonuses.
Compensation is structured, transparent, and performance based. It includes:
* Base salary
* Monthly revenue bonuses for exceeding a 115 billable hour benchmark
* Monthly management bonuses tied to associate attorney performance
* Client satisfaction bonuses tied to verified five star reviews
* Origination bonuses at 10 percent of collected fees on matters you personally originate
Leadership and leverage are compensated directly. Long term earnings growth comes from structure, not higher billable hour demands.
*Experience required*
* 8 or more years of family law practice
* Independent handling of complex divorce and custody matters
* First chair trial experience in family law
* Comfort with forensic accountants, custody evaluators, and experts
* Experience advising executives, founders, and high income professionals
* Experience drafting prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
*Who this role fits*
This role is for a senior attorney who:
* Is successful but constrained by their current structure
* Wants autonomy without operational burden
* Values professionalism, judgment, and calm authority
* Enjoys mentoring and leading others
* Is looking for a long term home, not a stepping stone
*How to explore fit*
This role is filled through confidential conversation, not mass applications.
Interested attorneys are encouraged to email directly to discuss structure, compensation, and fit.

All inquiries are handled discreetly.
