Overview
The Rutland County State's Attorney's Office in Rutland, Vermont is hiring a Deputy State's Attorney. A DSA represents the State's Attorney's Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within Rutland County. The position is full time and is eligible for benefits that include annual, sick, and personal leave, state holidays, retirement, health insurance (80% employer paid), life insurance, dental after 6 months, LTD after one year. The DSA position is covered by the SAS DSA pay plan with a salary range of $31.75 to $62.87 based upon relevant legal experience, This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in criminal justice work and acquiring substantial experience in trial work. A DSA is expected to effectively manage their caseload, and may be required to assist other offices at the direction of the State's Attorney or the Executive Director. A DSA must work effectively interact with coworkers, law enforcement, community agencies, and other partners, and pursue best practices, innovative approaches and positive outcomes in the justice system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to accurately interpret and apply statutes, rules and regulations. Ability to handle a high volume of work. Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills, and organizational skills to effectively meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, maintain confidentiality, ensure accuracy, and meet deadlines. Computer skills are required, and must perform data entry into the case management system. Ability to maintain self-composure under stressful situations. Must establish effective working relationships and respectfully interact with all co-workers, supervisors, partner and community organizations, victims, and members of the public. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence and maturity, particularly in dealing with victims of crime and other vulnerable populations.
Environmental Factors
Pressure from workload and deadlines can be expected. Work outside of the normal schedule regularly occurs. Private means transportation must be available.
Minimum Requirements
J.D. degree and admission to the Vermont Bar. An individual who has read the law in Vermont and been admitted to the Vermont Bar is eligible to apply. An individual pending bar results or admission to the Vermont bar may be considered, but will be required to pass the bar and be admitted in Vermont within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the State's Attorney in order to continue employment. Courtroom and jury trial experience is desirable.

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

The expected base pay range is $86,000 - $104,000 a year, with opportunity for bonuses. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
This is an in-person position and occasional travel to other DRM offices may be required.

We are building BETA's in-house Legal Team to support our growing company and its multi-faceted needs in aerospace, technology, and manufacturing. The Legal Team supports Beta's aircraft and charger manufacturing, as well as charge network development and other activities. The successful candidate will work in cross-functional groups to guide and support business initiatives while foreseeing and protecting the company against legal risks.How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of aircraft transactions on both sale and purchase sides. Contracting may include aircraft purchase agreements, leases, maintenance and support agreements, and support of related financing activities (supporting both BETA purchases and sales to customers).
Advise business teams on truth-in-leasing compliance (FAR ยง91.23) and other FAA/DOT requirements related to lease transactions.
Structure and negotiate guarantees and security agreements associated with aircraft leases.
Partner with Finance, Flight Operations, Programs and Business Development on strategy, risk allocation, and contract execution.
Manage complex leasing and financing transactions. Support cross-border sales, leasing and financing matters, including export/import regulations and coordination with counsel on multi-jurisdictional issues.
Create policy and procedure and provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on aircraft transaction processes, contractual obligations, and risk management.
Contribute to broader legal team initiatives, including corporate governance support, template development, and process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
JD, licensed to practice before at least one state bar, or non-attorney with extensive contracting expertise in aircraft transactions.
Minimum 6+ years' experience practicing law or 12+ years contracting, with a significant portion focused on aircraft leasing, structured finance, or aviation transactions.
Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating aircraft operating leases, purchase agreements, and related contracts.
Familiarity with FAA, DOT, and international regulatory considerations affecting aircraft.
Prior experience in aerospace/complex manufacturing (or industry core to Beta's business).
Preference for on site role; willing to consider the right candidate with ability to have frequent and regular presence at Burlington, Vermont headquarters.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, prioritize critical tasks, and lead legal and cross-functional projects with superior project management skills.
Enthusiastic about working within a team-oriented environment and contributing to effective team relationships.
Flexible, adaptable, and ready to learn new legal areas and problem solve.
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
Experience working in a high-growth company.
In-house experience supporting fleet or leasing transactions in aviation, aerospace, or transportation.

The Vermont Office of the Attorney General, Department for Children and Families, Family Services Legal Division, has an immediate opening for an energetic and talented full-time Assistant Attorney General who will be responsible for representing the Department for Children and Families before the Human Services Board.
Description
The responsibilities of this position include litigating Family Division cases before the Vermont Superior Courts and representing the Department in administrative appeals before the Human Services Board. Other duties include contract review, related administrative legal work, and training family service workers in all aspects of the litigation process. Travel across the state will be required. Located in Waterbury, the AAG will be responsible for handling litigation in Vermont Superior Courts, Family Division.
Compensation
This Assistant Attorney General position is an exempt full-time position. Salary and benefits will be based upon qualifications and experience in accordance with the State of VermontAttorney Pay Plan. Minimum Requirements
Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Vermont bar, or eligible to waive in.
Preference will be given to applicants with three years of relevant experience, especially in Vermont, but newly admitted attorneys are welcome to apply.
Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be capable of working as part of a team.
Candidates must be willing to travel and work independently, but within the structure of a government legal team.
Self-reliance, IT skills and knowledge of state and federal mental health law, regulations and policies are a plus.

Overview
The Franklin County State's Attorney's Office in St. Albans, Vermont is hiring a Deputy State's Attorney. A DSA represents the State's Attorney's Office in prosecuting criminal and certain civil offenses within Franklin County. The position is full time and is eligible for benefits that include annual, sick, and personal leave, state holidays, retirement, health insurance (80% employer paid), life insurance, dental after 6 months, LTD after one year. The DSA position is covered by the SAS DSA pay plan with a salary range of $30.67 to $60.74 based upon relevant legal experience. Minimum Requirements
J.D. degree and admission to the Vermont Bar. An individual who has read the law in Vermont and been admitted to the Vermont Bar is eligible to apply. An individual pending bar results or admission to the Vermont bar may be considered, but will be required to pass the bar and be admitted in Vermont within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the State's Attorney in order to continue employment. Courtroom and jury trial experience is desirable.
