    Job Description Performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history). Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members. Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Function as an effective public relations representative both inside and outside the hospital. Observes professional ethics. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, Quality Assurance, and infection control standards. Ensures an adequate supply of supplies and proper functioning of equipment. Report problems or concerns to the Director of Nursing. Participate in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Attend monthly staff meetings and other hospital meetings as required. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Complete SQSS assignments every shift. Check emails every shift. Complete accountability form for every pay period. Competencies: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Friendly and professional bedside manner. Multi-tasking skills. Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills. Understands legal implications of patient care. Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: associate or bachelor's degree prepared nurse from accredited nursing school. Minimum Experience: Will train newly graduated Registered Nurse. Must be able to work as a team. Certifications/Licensures: Current Kansas or compact state RN license, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS, ENPC. Working Environment: Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking; assists with lifting and moving patients; lifts supplies and equipment; considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Regularly exposed to the risk of blood-borne diseases/illness; may be exposed to various patient elements.
