Posting Details Information Job Title Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Posting Number P2222F Information The Auburn University Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering (ISE) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor with a start date of August 16, 2026. A strong emphasis will be placed on candidates whose research and teaching expertise include, but are not limited to, AI-Manufacturing, Machine Learning (ML), Data Analytics, and Quality, Statistics, and Reliability (QSR), with preference given to those applying data analytics and ML in manufacturing contexts. Candidates are expected to have a strong theoretical and practical understanding of modern ML, including concepts, methods, tooling, and workflows. Successful candidates should be able to teach classes at the graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of data analytics, quality statistics, and advanced manufacturing.
Specific areas of research interest include Industry 4.0, AI/ML-driven manufacturing, manufacturing system design and development (including machine-to-machine networking and data collection), data analytics, Smart Manufacturing, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and systems analysis for manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or terminal degree) in Industrial Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET-accredited institution at the time employment begins. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a record of high-quality research publications, funded research, and successful industry collaborations. For applicants at the associate or full professor level, a commensurate record of successful academic activities, including strong funded research, teaching, and scholarly publications, will be required.
Candidates selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of employment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment.
Desired Qualifications
The successful candidate will be expected to develop and sustain a strong, extramurally funded research program in AI/ML and data analytics with applications to manufacturing systems. At the assistant professor level, this includes establishing a competitive and growing research portfolio, while candidates at the associate or full professor level are expected to demonstrate an established record of scholarly impact and national or international recognition. The candidate will also teach undergraduate and graduate courses in advanced manufacturing, data analytics, and quality statistics; mentor students and research assistants; and provide leadership in strengthening the department's Data Analytics program. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to contribute to outreach and service at the department, college, and university levels, and to bring innovation, enthusiasm, and leadership to the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice is committed to the success of all HCOP academic programs. * This position will be based on the Auburn University campus in Auburn, AL. Auburn is a friendly university town in the rolling hills of east central Alabama, with a population around 60,000. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and must have successfully completed a postgraduate PGY-1 residency at the time employment begins. Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have completed a PGY-2 residency in an applicable field of training that aligns with position responsibilities; completed a pharmacy fellowship; or is board-certified (BCPS, BCACP, BCOP, BCPP, etc.). Experience in the pharmacy practice area of focus or demonstration of leadership in programs that advance pharmacy practice or research will also be considered. The successful candidate must hold an active Alabama pharmacy license in good standing or must be eligible to obtain an Alabama pharmacy license (within 3 months of hire), which is required for this position. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to establish a dynamic, innovative, and externally funded research program in Aquatic Genomics. The research program should primarily focus on the functional genomics of aquatic species, supporting both the land-grant mission and the mission of SFAAS. Candidates conducting research in related areas within aquatic systems, including Aquaculture Genomics; Fisheries Genomics; Comparative Genomics; Metagenomics and Microbiome Genomics; Transcriptomics, Proteomics, and Metabolomics; Epigenomics; Bioinformatics, Big Data and Systems Genomics; and Environmental and Ecological Genomics are also encouraged to apply. Candidates developing novel statistical, machine learning, or artificial intelligence approaches and applying such methods to aquatic genomic data are likewise encouraged to apply. Previous experience working with aquatic species is preferred; however, applicants with experience in other animal, plant, and microbial systems will also be considered, provided their future research program focuses on aquatic organisms. The candidate's research may address mechanisms of virus infection, transmission, and plant colonization, or virus-host interactions in agricultural and natural systems, virus ecology and epidemiology under changing environmental conditions, metagenomic and diagnostic innovations for virus detection and monitoring, sustainable management strategies to reduce yield losses and production risk. The candidate will employ modern technological and analytical tools-such as genomics, bioinformatics, imaging, and field phenotyping-to link fundamental discoveries with practical applications in crop improvement and integrated disease management. The successful candidate will be expected to secure extramural funding to support programs and summer salary, publish technical and referred articles, and collaborate effectively with departmental faculty and colleagues in other disciplines.
The instructional appointment would support the Plant Pathology graduate and undergraduate curriculums including the Applied Biotechnology major as well. Instructional responsibilities will include a required graduate course in virology, as well as being part of the team teaching the service course in General Plant Pathology. Mentoring graduate students and service on graduate student advisory committees is expected. Service to the department, college, and university is also expected.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree in Plant Pathology or Virology at the time employment begins; evidence of research productivity (publications, grants, etc.) commensurate with career level; ability to develop an original research program on fundamental and/or applied aspects of plant virology; and evidence of effective teamwork and capability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. applications for the position of Assistant or AssociateProfessor - Poultry Functional Genomics. This will be a nine-month tenure-track faculty position with 75% research and 25% teaching appointments. The projected start date is August 2026.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining an independent, nationally and internationally recognized, and extramurally funded basic research program to support a departmental focus on poultry functional genomics. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of wet lab, molecular biology, and strong bioinformatics analysis skills. The individual will be expected to establish a research program utilizing functional genomics in addressing questions in poultry behavior and welfare, health and immunology, reproductive physiology, gastrointestinal development, nutrition, growth, and/or productivity, while supporting ongoing research programs in microbiology, food safety, and product quality in the department. Publication of results in reputable peer-reviewed journals will be required. The incumbent should also be able to develop strong interdisciplinary collaborations with current faculty in Animal Sciences, the School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, and the College of Sciences and Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to actively seek extramural funding to support his/her research programs from sources such as federal sponsors (USDA-NIFA, NIH, NSF, among others) and industry. In addition, departmental, college, and university committee service will be expected.
The incumbent will teach two courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels according to their strengths and departmental requirements. In addition, the candidate is also expected to actively engage in scholarly activities related to instruction, including, but not limited to, participating in curriculum revision and enhancement, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, serving on graduate committees, and supervising thesis and dissertation research.

Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in poultry science, animal science, wildlife, veterinary medicine, biological sciences, or a closely aligned discipline with a focus on functional genomics at the time employment begins.
We are seeking candidates who apply state-of-the-art experimental techniques, such as microarrays, next-generation sequencing, and CRISPR-based gene editing in animal model systems to understand genetic mechanisms and identify genes associated with traits, such as growth, reproduction, immune responses, feed utilization and metabolism, and behavioral adaptations to changing environmental conditions. Expertise in bioinformatics and computational modeling validated by multi-omics approaches is integral to this position. Research scholarship, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and oral presentations at scientific meetings in the area of functional genomics, is essential. Applicants must be able to work with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to develop successful research and teaching programs. While the research focus within functional genomics is open, consideration will be given to applicants with experience conducting basic research, yet relevant to the poultry industry (e.g., improving production traits, stress resilience, disease resistance, or nutritional and reproductive efficiencies), and a track record of scholarly productivity in functional genomics. Candidates for the rank of Assistant Professor are encouraged.
