Salary:Appropriate placement on the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees Local Salary "L" Schedule - based on experience Part-Time, maximum of (19) hours per week Hourly Wage Range - $13.86 - $35.40 per hour unless mandated by the Grant, Contract, or President Essential Duties and Responsibilities The ADM Intern is a team member of the Advanced Manufacturing Department and shall perform the duties as specified in conformity with policies established by the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees and the J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College Faculty and Staff and Student Handbooks. * Assist with the data collection of individual programs * Assist with technical support in maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment in the advanced manufacturing program * Assist with organizing work areas and inventory of all equipment * Assist with routine maintenance on Drake State faculty, staff, and student computer lab workstations, including hardware and software * Provide setup and maintenance on Drake State computer labs and network cabling, including Category 5, wireless, and fiber optic networking equipment * Maintain an inventory of assigned equipment and supplies * Assist faculty and students with lab work and orientation to program * Attend advisory board meetings * Retain and submit documentation as requested to support accreditation efforts * Perform other work-related responsibilities as assigned by the Coordinator of Apprenticeships and Career Placement, Director of Workforce Development, Division Chair, Assistant Dean of Instruction, Dean of Instruction, and/or the President Job description may be modified or altered at any time by management. Qualifications * Currently enrolled Drake State students in an Associate's degree program for Advanced Manufacturing * Entry level knowledge of Microsoft Office, SolidWorks and other application software packages * Ability to project a professional and congenial demeanor * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, other employees, and the public REQUIRED PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. * Ability to climb a ladder safely Application Procedures/Additional Information Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and must submit a complete application packet through the NEOED on-line application system to be considered.
