JOB SUMMARY
Tote system data entry and verification work, reports and paperwork for racetrack and/or corporate office, train new employees, maintains, operates, setup, or troubleshoot boards and auxiliary odds boards. Prepares and maintains UT equipment, repairs, maintains and cleans betting terminals, installs and tears down equipment, stock ticket paper on betting lines, unloads ticket stock from freight truck, labeling, packaging, and shipping reordering spare parts, loads and unloads equipment, maintain and repair infield or auxiliary display boards, and other tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Tote system data entry and verification.
* Preparation of reports/paperwork for the racetrack and/or corporate office.
* Assist in the shipping, loading or unloading of company equipment and/or supplies.
* Labeling, packaging, shipping and re-ordering of spare parts.
* Assist in the training of new employees and Line Technicians
* Maintain, operate, setup or troubleshoot tote boards and auxiliary odds boards.
* Operation of the communications equipment used at the racetrack.
* Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of United Tote equipment.
* Equipment installation and tear down.
* Stocking of ticket paper on betting lines.

* Perform minor repairs on terminal components, test components, correctly package components for shipment and order replacement components.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have understanding of what pari-mutuel wagering is and United Tote's role at the racetrack. Must be able to interact with association personnel in a professional and efficient manner. Must be able to understand configurations of the Tote room hardware, i.e. modems, multiplexers, consoles, display controllers and printers. Familiarity with the Tote Board installation and operation. Understand the system reports and know what information is reported. Understand how prices are calculated and become familiar with the State rules and regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED. Line technician experience and electrical and/or computer experience preferred.

Under the direction of the Director of Ice Operations, the Weekend Ice Operations Rink Technician is responsible for resurfacing the ice sheets between scheduled skating sessions and performing daily ice maintenance on the multiple rinks, along with the maintenance of all ice resurfacing equipment.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00 to $17.00

About the Venue
Centene Community Ice Center is as a state-of-the-art facility designed for hockey programming that is curated for all ages and skill levels. It houses three sheets of ice inside year-round and also features an outdoor rink for use in winter months, transforming into St. Louis Music Park in the summer months. It is the official practice facility for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL) and serves as the home rink for Lindenwood University (NCAA DI). Alongside hockey development programs, the facility also offers freestyle skating and daily public skate sessions providing a unique experience for locals to get on the ice.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate Olympia Ice Resurfacer to maintain the ice surface before, during and after groups.
* Assist with the daily maintenance of all Ice Resurfacing equipment.
* Preform daily ice maintenance; including but not limited to building, grooming, ice depths.
* Assist with yearly ice removal and installation.
* Assist with the instiallation and removal of hockey glass and dasherboards.
* Assist in the buffing and cleaning of rink glass
* Assist with overall general building maintenance.
* Assist with maintaining all hockey related areas.
* Assist Custodial staff with Cleaning of locker rooms, emptying trash, sweeping floors and other jobs as assigned.
* Ability to perform general labor including removing dasher walls, glass, setting of tables and chairs, building stages, setting pipe and drape, detail cleaning, exterior maintenance, snow removal, painting, etc.
* Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
* Complete end of night duties when scheduled.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Ice Operations Director or Manager.
Qualifications
* Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
* Ability to read and write and to follow written and oral instructions
* Experience operating an ice resurfacer preferred or previous experience operating heavy machinery/equipment.
* Ability to concentrate in a high stress, noisy game situations with promotions and thousands of people in attendance.
* Experience driving in tandem during ice cuts.
* Possess a valid driver's license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by our insurance carrier (without conditions).

Overview
The OVG360, a, division of OVG has an exciting opening for a part-time position on the campus of Arizona State University for the new 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena and community ice rink. The new arena is scheduled to open in fall 2022 and will be home to ASU Sun Devil Men's Ice Hockey, ASU Wrestling and Women's Gymnastics programs, an NHL franchise, as well as a variety of events, including concerts, family shows, comedy, and other live events. The new community ice rink will serve as a public venue to the community and will host hockey and skating programming, youth competitions, educational opportunities, and more.
The position reports directly to the Operations Manager, and will provide support to the Operations Department in regards to event set up, changeovers and daily operational tasks including Ice Maintenance.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.00.

Responsibilities
Assist with event setup, chair sets and chair strikes, conversions and Ice Maintenance.
Assist Operations and Event Managers on Event/Operations related information
Compliance with well-established maintenance systems for all facility vehicles, equipment and tools.
Provide the maintenance for solid, safe and clean ice surfaces.
Use the ice edger
Provides support for community rink programming and special events; to include but not limited to, public skating and private events.
Provide a clean and attractive environment encompassing a variety of janitorial duties.
Makes quick, accurate observation and exercises sound judgment. Must be willing and able to take decisive action in a variety of circumstances, including emergency situations.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred)
