Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.

Establishes “promised time.” Checks with dispatcher, if necessary.
Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.
Establishes customer's method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.
Notifies dispatcher of incoming work.
Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
Implements and maintains a service marketing program.
Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Makes sure they are locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
Keeps service department forms, menus and pricing guides up to date.
Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.
Inspects all vehicles for body work, informs customer if work is needed and provides an estimate for body work.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Keeps work area clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Entry-Level Automotive Service Technician, you'll perform basic vehicle repairs as assigned and in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
You will work alongside other technicians and initially handle maintenance work such as oil changes.
Your attention to detail will make you an asset to the team as you ensure assigned repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers.
In this role, you'll interact daily with other team members including service advisors, other technicians, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates, and managers.
Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
Communicating with Parts Department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
Conducting multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure the safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
Maintaining an inventory of normal technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.”
Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
