    Job Description JOB TITLE: Audio Technician Reports To: Audio Department Head Status: Full Time Hourly Non-Exempt Delivering on “The Prestige Way”; upholding our Core Values, Company Mission and Company Vision everywhere the work environment may take you - on the road or at the office. Audio Technician An experienced audio-visual technician with proficient abilities in the latest audio and production technologies. An Audio Technician will possess the ability to set up, operate and troubleshoot audio equipment in temporary live event environments. An Audio Technician will also require excellent communication and customer service skills, working with both internal and external clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (include, but not limited to…) Serve as Audio Technician for a variety of event formats from breakouts, general sessions, and tradeshow environments Work with a PAV Production Manager or Show Lead to implement the technical aspects of a show related to assigned role, set up, and operate related Audio equipment. Work with Project Managers and other event staff for efficient Run of Show Responsible for obtaining media from Project Manager or client for event playback Communicate changes to Project Manager or Show Lead to maintain accurate invoicing Equipment preparation and de-prep, QC and maintenance. SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS/KNOWLEDGE: Must be organized, attentive to detail, persistent and demonstrate the ability to follow through projects to completion. Capable of handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines. Capable of working with all levels of show management under minimal supervision. Ability to run show from concept and implementation, to live show and load out. Flexible Hours/Schedule a must. Ability to drive cargo vans. Clean driving record, please report any offences, background check required. General education requirements in the areas of communication, social science, natural science, and humanities provide analytical and communication skills as well as a global perspective of diverse cultures. The Event Technician is a client-facing position responsible for setting up and operating a variety of high-end audio-visual equipment for live/virtual/hybrid client meetings hosted at various venues. Also responsible for trouble-shooting any issues, and tearing down (striking) equipment post-event. The shift and hours will vary depending upon business need, with some evening and weekend work required. Currently hiring for Part-Time as Needed (PRN) opportunities. Positions are hourly (non-exempt), and eligible for overtime! Position Responsibilities Work closely with clients, Project Managers and other Event Technicians to ensure the successful completion of events. Set-up, tear-down, loading and unloading of all equipment. Operate all types of audio, visual, lighting and rigging equipment, for both live and virtual events. Provide excellent customer service and promptly handle any equipment changes/requests. Ensure equipment is functional, safely and professionally presented, and that client is familiar or comfortable with the operation of any equipment they are utilizing. Trouble-shoot any equipment issues with satisfactory resolution. Assist in all areas of operation as needed, such as warehouse operations, deliveries, preventative maintenance, etc. Requirements Must have a good working knowledge of all types of audio-visual equipment including operation, set-up, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently, and follow directions from the supervisor or on-site leader. Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients. Ability to maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude at all times. Must maintain a good driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification and obtain any special licensing needed to be able to drive a box truck, van or other company vehicle.
