The Audio Core Tech programmer primarily works with the Sound, Dialogue, and Music teams to develop technologies, tools, and pipelines; they also collaborate with engineers in other departments. The goal is to create first-rate game audio experiences that elevate storytelling in games to new levels. The ideal candidate is an excellent general programmer with strong 3D math skills who is passionately dedicated to the world of audio.
Responsibilities:
- Tackling complex problems: Design, develop, and support audio technology in our production pipeline, from authoring tools, to asset management and conditioning pipeline, down to the supporting runtime game systems
- Work with and enable dialogue, sound, and music designers to create assets throughout all stages of production, with an eye on constantly improving creation workflows, user experience, and performance of our tools and technologies
- Navigate and constantly improve an extensive code base
Requirements & Skills:
- Extensive experience in using C++ or C# in any of the following applications: level editor, art prototype catalogue/database, animation/cinematic editor, material/shader editor, DSP plug-ins, build tools, lighting tools or equivalent software
- Excellent 3D math skills (especially linear algebra and vector math)
- B.S. in Computer Science and/or Mathematics or equivalent work experience
Bonus Skills: (Optional)
- Experience in the audio domain (e.g., music performance, composition, mixing, audio middleware, DSP processing, acoustics, etc.)
- Experience with JavaScript and web development stacks

The *Audio Technician* is responsible for creating the right atmosphere to set the scene and evoke the audience response according to the client's request. They will perform duties to design, plan for, and set up any assigned range of complex AV systems and assist other Technicians with the set up and operation of other elements.
A typical day may include, but is not limited to:
* Work from schedules, contracts, show quote, cad drawings and other documentation provided. Have the ability to travel to the shows.
* Review show schedules, contracts, show quotes cad drawings and other documentation. Determine the nature of the event and related requirements. Design systems required and plan approach to implementing requirements of related show. Determine and communicate pull list of additional equipment required to set up shows and implement contracts in designated locations.
* Assist in Warehouse as available or scheduled to pull, set up, test and review equipment. Build racks of equipment and diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in preparation for shows. Work with any range of internal staff to resolve pre-production issues.
* Receive equipment and assist to move cases to staging area. Open and inspect contents of cases. Ensure the receipt of all equipment listed on manifest and note and report on condition of equipment on receipt. Communicate with internal staff to investigate and resolve issues related to missing, damaged or inappropriate equipment.
* Act as Lead Show Technician, team member, or operate individually as assigned.
* Initiate contact with client, determine priorities and plan for set up of show. Communicate priorities and assignments to other Technicians and freelance labor. Ensure that set up is accomplished within established time and quality standards and document show activities, hours, equipment anomalies, problems and other issues on Show Report.
* Represent the company to clients to ensure that the show meets the quality expectations and communicate additional costs for labor and or equipment to implement additional required elements as requested.
* Respond to pages or calls after normal show or business hours to investigate and resolve problems and or issues.
To be a successful *Audio Technician,* you should have the following:
* High School Diploma.
* Have 3 to 5 years of experience in the Audio set-up, operation, and strike of small to large shows.
* Expertise in warehouse safety, training, and procedures.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

The Audio Tech must abide by applicable state and federal laws under the scope of practice of an assistant to a licensed provider. Position may require travel to various office locations and a temporary/provisional license.
The Audio Tech is also responsible for the daily activities at the front desk for the retail site.
