Ministry Function: The Lead Audio/Video Technician serves a vital role in ensuring excellence in worship and ministry presentation. This individual is responsible for mixing and balancing sound, operating audio/video systems, and supporting the technical production of worship services and events. The role includes setup, maintenance, and supervision of A/V equipment, as well as training and developing volunteers to serve in production ministry.
Responsibilities:
Operate and balance sound for Sunday and special services using digital and analog systems
Set up, install, and maintain all necessary audio, video, lighting, and recording equipment
Support rehearsals, sound checks, and all assigned events from load-in to load-out
Research and recommend A/V technology upgrades
Train, schedule, and mentor production volunteers; actively recruit new team members
Maintain production inventory and report damaged or faulty equipment
Participate in weekly programming and production meetings, Bible study, and staff training
Assist with stage design and dcor for events and productions
Qualifications:
Member or willing to become a member of New Community Bible Fellowship
Proven experience and proficiency in sound engineering and A/V systems
Strong spiritual maturity and commitment to personal growth in Christ
Team player with professionalism, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle ministry matters with discretion
Demonstrates servant leadership and unity with the churchs vision, mission, and values
Schedule: Full
-time, including Sundays, weekday office hours (Tues-Fri), and select evenings for rehearsals and events (e.g., Elevate Nights, special services).

* Proficient in running radio automation systems.
Preference may be given to candidates who have the above experience plus the following:
* Previous experience in commercial or non-commercial broadcast media.
* Experience operating automation systems.
* Experience running radio automation systems, such as Marketron.

Work with a PAV Production Manager to implement the technical aspects of a show related to assigned lead role, set up, supervise, and operate related AV equipment.
Attend site checks as required
Attend all meetings / conference calls required for event, to ensure all details are captured
Relay details (financial, creative, & logistic wants/needs) to Director of Productions to determine best way to propose design and quote for event
Maintain timeline for production to ensure event planning stays on schedule
Work with Warehouse Staff to ensure assets required for event are available or In the event that assets are not available, source sub-rentals and coordinate delivery/pick up
Work with Project Managers and other event staff for efficient Run of Show
Ability to work across a variety of event formats from breakouts, general sessions, and tradeshow environments
Responsible for obtaining media from Project Manager or client for event playback or display
Work with Facility Event Managers or PAV CAD tech to obtain detail drawings of event per client specifications. Have prints approved by venue to ensure they are within fire code
Maintain orders so they're current throughout planning, run of show, and ready for invoicing at end of event
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS/KNOWLEDGE:
Must be organized, attentive to detail, persistent and demonstrate the ability to follow through projects to completion.
Capable of handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
Capable of working with all levels of show management under minimal supervision.

Maintain working knowledge of all aspects of event for smooth transition to persons assigned to roles (Lead Technicians: General Session, Plenary, Breakout, Exhibits, etc.)
Responsible for playing or recording media for Project Manager or client for event display or to transfer media to PAV production manager to deliver to client
Work with Facility Event Managers or PAV CAD tech to understand the detailed drawings of event per client specifications.
Update account/project manager on orders so they're current throughout planning, run of show, and ready for invoicing at end of event.
Excellent customer service skills, applied to external and internal customers equally.
