Reporting to the AV Team Lead, the AV Engineer's role is to operate, support and maintain in-house audio-visual equipment in auditoriums, conference rooms and offices. Provide technical support and guidance to AV tech and be the escalation point. Our team's goal is to help our colleagues maximize their ability to collaborate and communicate through the effective use of technology.
How You Will Make An Impact:Monitor the health status of all conference rooms globally Track global AV Assets and help establish refresh cycles Maintain Zoom admin for daily operations and deployments Participate in regular weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events and their requirements Communicate any foreseeable problems to Event Service Operations Program Manager at the earliest opportunity Support planning and execution of events from large events to small user groups Diagnose and troubleshoot audio and video equipment issues Intake customer service request and manage them to completion Consult with cross-functional teams and internal users regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events Support planning and execution of events of various sizes
What You Will Need To Succeed:4+ years of relevant working experience in AV/VC engineering Strong understanding of Zoom and Zoom Room features and capabilities Proven experience with troubleshooting industry standard devices such as Crestron, Extron Biamp and Clearone, DTEN, and NeatComfortable with basic Mac OSX and Windows configuration as it relates to conference platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Meet.Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide advanced troubleshooting on any device Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated success in event coordination and project coordination Time management and ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency Passionate about the job and tasks at hand and be self-motivated and energetic Excellent understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations

Requirements:High School Graduate or equivalent required.Basic IP networking expertise or education.Experience with Audio Visual installations. Available to travel up to 50% travel.Knowledge of the construction industry.Proficient in structured cabling; including installation, termination, and testing of cabling associated with audio and video cables.Ability to work as team lead with 1-4 additional technicians on small projects. Excellent customer relationship and communication skills; verbal and written.Has basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation.Computer/laptop/smartphone proficiency.Highly proficient with the use of email, spreadsheets, and the ability to learn internal systems.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; no DUI or DWI in the last three years.

Responsibilities:Install, troubleshoot, and repair audio / visual cabling systems and equipment including control equipment, audio DSPs, speakers, microphones, cameras, displays, projectors, and projector screens. Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work.Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that audiovisual systems are complete with total customer satisfaction and contractual requirements.Communicate efficiently with project manager, engineers, and customers regarding project status through daily reports created through Wachter's Web Application. Train customers on small or limited controlled rooms.Communicate regularly with customers, engineers, and technicians on projects. Follow, update, and communicate all changes with construction drawings.Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational. Provide user and technical-level training on all installed systems.Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning and to ensure the system meets local, county, state, or federal codes; legal and/or insurance requirements.

ECS is looking for an Audio/Visual Install Technician, providing support for a major national laboratory in Albuquerque, NM!

As an Audio/Visual Install Technician, you will be working with the Audio/Visual team. This team works to design, install, maintain, and support enterprise video collaboration and conference rooms, which provide secure and reliable video and audio conferencing with screen-sharing capabilities in both classified and unclassified environments. This includes video production and editing support in both classified and unclassified environments and provide onsite Auditorium live event support. In addition, the team installs hardware and software to conference rooms across the customer's facility.

The Audio/Visual technician should have a background in Information technology and audio/video type systems and configurations. Applicant will be installing and maintaining Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs) and Skype equipment. Specifically seeking expertise with Teams, Skype, Windows, Networking, Classified Computing requirements, speakers, cameras, microphones, desktop configurations and KVM Switches. Applicant should have strong customer service skills and an ability to troubleshoot videoconferencing systems under pressure and time sensitive situations. Additional qualifications would include understanding the capabilities of Microsoft 365, Teams, Skype, Outlook, and scheduling meetings.
DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITES/TASKS INCLUDE:

Multimedia setup experience (speakers, cameras, microphones).
Windows Desktop configurations and KVM Switches.
Experience using Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business service and Communications Skills.
Applicant must be able to install videoconferencing equipment and troubleshoot.

Required Skills:

Minimum of two years' demonstrated experience in a fast-pace, audio/visual support area.
Intermediate-to-advanced MS productivity suite & collaborative applications expertise.
Intermediate-to-advanced desktop support & trouble shooting skills for Windows.
Excellent customer service skills.
HS Diploma.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Skype/Teams video conferencing & video conference room equipment.
An Active DoE or DoD Clearance is desired.
