ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Repair or replace microphone, a/c or data link cable. Perform routine maintenance on sound and lighting. Perform general maintenance on stage, sound and light booths. Design sound systems, operate mixing board, and monitor sound room equipment. Perform routine maintenance on all equipment. Understand and comply with all department policies and procedures and OSHA regulations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction. Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs on a recurring basis. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. WORK CONDITIONS: The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves and boots.Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work is performed indoors and outdoors in extreme temperatures. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
