    LinTech Global is looking for an Audio-Visual Technician to support our efforts at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va. The Audio-Visual Technician will set up, operate, maintain and repair equipment used to enhance live events, such as microphones, video recorders, projectors, lighting and sound mixing equipment. You will record meetings and presentations with video cameras, operate spotlights, adjust amplifiers, coordinate graphics used in displays and provide technical support for teleconferences, webinars and distance-learning classes. The Technician may also edit, copy and store videotapes and DVDs, track inventory of equipment and order supplies. Lastly, you will operate and maintain equipment used to amplify, record and display sound and images at live events. POSITION DESCRIPTION Delivery Implementation / Team Oversight Assist the AV team with the implementation of tasks, staying on-time and on-budget Communicating status effectively on a daily basis to the Audio-Visual Lead Technician Attending internal meetings and communication Assist the Lead Audio Visual Technician with pre-configuring equipment in a lab prior to deployment (as needed) Install equipment per clients pre-determined specifications and provide detailed documentation during this process Assist the Lead Audio Visual Technician with all aspects of Audio Visual/ Classroom technology needs, including pulling low-voltage cabling, performing terminations, punch downs, and providing full testing/validation results of all runs QUALIFICATIONS One year of experience as an Audio-Visual technician. Associate degree or substitute with at least 5 years of related experience Must have experience with: punch-downs, rack installations, terminations on patch panels, and data jacks, installation and testing/Category 3, 5, and 6 copper, COAX, and Fiber preferred. Experience installing and implementing technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Preferred: Working knowledge of vendor products and technologies from Crestron, AMX, Extron, Promethean, ClearOne, Electro-Voice, etc. Ability to read blueprints/floor plans, door elevations, riser diagrams, point to point drawings and schematics.     **MANTECH** seeks a skilled **Audio Visual Technician** to support the buildout, configuration, and sustainment of RF and IP-based video distribution systems aboard U.S. Navy ships in **Norfolk, VA.** This is an **on-site** position. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in broadcast television systems who enjoy hands-on work in both lab and shipboard environments. As an **AV Technician** , you will assist in the installation, upgrade, and life cycle support of unclassified video broadcast, cable television, and surveillance systems that provide essential entertainment, training, and security capabilities for the fleet. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Design, integrate, install, upgrade, and maintain shipboard broadcast and production closed-circuit television systems, surveillance camera systems, and RF/coaxial cable distribution networks aboard Navy, Coast Guard, and Military Sealift Command vessels + Interpret and apply system drawings, equipment schematics, and cable run sheets + Mount and integrate video system components in equipment racks; fabricate, route, and terminate RF and copper cables; conduct testing and troubleshooting in both lab and shipboard environments + Schedule installation activities and coordinate work packages with shipyards and government stakeholders + Manage logistics and material flow using established supply processes, including coordination with ship's force for maintenance and repair actions + Train shipboard personnel on system operation and maintenance procedures + Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel domestically and internationally for shipboard visits and maintenance tasks (up to 20%) **Minimum Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalent Degree (GED) + 3+ years of experience with integration or maintenance of broadcast television systems + 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing television and RF cable distribution systems + 2+ years of experience with basic electronics or AV signal flow, including routing and signal distribution **Preferred Qualifications:** + Proficiency with desktop and laptop computers for technical reporting and maintenance tracking + Knowledge of the procedures and regulations for system installations aboard U.S. Navy ships + Experience with SHIPMAIN and RMMCO coordination processes + Familiarity with RF television distribution systems using coaxial and fiber optic cabling + Experience with video surveillance systems and components + Exposure to satellite receiving systems and IP-based television or camera systems **Clearance Requirements:** + Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain an active Interim Secret clearance prior to starting this position **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of tools, equipment, or materials + Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and multiple flights of stairs aboard naval vessels + Ability to walk long distances on ship decks and piers in various weather conditions + Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined or elevated spaces for extended periods + Ability to board and disembark ships using gangways, planks, or temporary access structures + Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow shipboard safety protocols MANTECH International Corporation considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to disability or veteran status or any other status protected under any federal, state, or local law or regulation.
