In Canton, Ohio, the Aultman Hospital houses a school with the purpose of teaching students nursing or radiology: the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences. For 21 months to two years, students immerse themselves in their chosen subject of either nursing or the radiology program. Upon graduation, students earn an associate's degree and the experience that can lead to a lifelong career. Aultman College's campus has all the ingredients for a successful education: state-of-the-art classrooms, a simulation lab, computers and a health service. Students may also have the opportunity to volunteer at Aultman Hospital in order to gain invaluable work experience. Deadline for fall admission is January, but there is also spring enrollment for which the deadline is mid-July. CPR certification is required for enrollment. The college offers financial aid for eligible students, including grants (need-based, pell grant, academic competitiveness grant and Pennsylvania state grant program), loans (federal, nurse education assistance loan program, and private education loans), and scholarships (need and merit based.)
