Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and IM PEDS SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to provide high quality patient care and ensure effective clinic operations. Patient care includes providing comprehensive medical services for members of family. Services include but are not limited to: preventive care, immunizations, primary care and treatment, health education, prescribing of medications, ordering and interpreting lab testing, physical examinations, STD screenings, vision/hearing, women's health, family planning, prenatal services, nutrition. Provider may be used in a variety of locations depending upon the need of the organization. Clinic shifts include 1 evening a week and 1-2 Saturdays/month. This position may also include supervising physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners and providing training to resident physicians or other health provider interns/externs. REQURED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and COMPETENCIES Provide continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults according to current standards of care. Take patient histories. Perform or request diagnostic tests. Make diagnoses and prescribe medication as necessary. Administer vaccinations and perform follow-up examinations. Educate patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. Prepare all medical records, clinical reports, and correspondences. Support quality initiatives. Work in collaboration with the management team and providers. Complete all Core Curriculum training(s) required for the position. Perform all other duties as assigned. Licensure/Certification: Active Illinois State Medical License, DEA certificate Board Certified or Board Eligible based on governing board guidelines Providers are responsible for maintaining individual certifications as required by job function or by law and provide verification and recertification when requested by management. Experience: Experience should be aligned within scope of training. Familiar with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Graduate of accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO); completion of Internship and Accredited Residency Program required. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Medical/Dental/Vision $185,000-$230,000 Malpractice/Tail Coverage $2K CME Allowance with 5 Days Paid Time Off 3 Weeks Paid Vacation.
