Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department Holding Unit of a hospital
Caring for a diverse patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Staffing ratio is 1:4 patients per nurse
Telemetry and stepdown/PCU level care with cardiac monitoring
Night shift schedule, working three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
Use of Epic for documentation
Provide stepdown and PCU level care for patients held in the ER
Utilize rapid response team protocols as needed
Manage wound vacs and non-invasive respiratory equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP
No time off approved from 2/15/26 through 2/28/26
Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process is required as soon as possible after contract acceptance
Orientation and training provided onsite
Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a relevant setting
Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia management
Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV insulin and heparin protocols, renal failure management, blood product administration, tracheostomy management, wound care, and non-invasive airway management
Experience using Epic EMR documentation system
Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor in a formal leadership role
Former employees must have been separated for at least 6 months to qualify

Self-scheduling requests available, with day or night 12-hour shifts
Patients may require continuous bladder irrigation, telemetry monitoring, and use of specialized equipment such as B450 monitors, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, and PCA pumps
Floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity
Uses GE telemetry system
Responsibilities include caring for high acuity oncology patients and implementing strict infection prevention and fall reduction protocols
Team includes support staff with orientation period involving preceptor support
First week of orientation on dayshift Monday through Friday, followed by 36 hours of on-unit preceptor orientation
Weekend shifts are variable based on staffing needs
Chemotherapy administration, monitoring, and other advanced skills are preferred but not required

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift Emergency Department position requiring a compact or OH RN license and EPIC EMR experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital with an oncology pod
Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30
Assignment duration is 13 weeks
Patient ratio is 1:4
Floating to other units is required
Care for both oncology and emergency patient populations
Uses EPIC EMR with prior experience required
Involves telemetry monitoring and IV starts
Submission of all requested time off must be made at the time of application
Up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at facility discretion for the contract duration
Team environment with opportunity to work with both oncology and emergency care specialists
Holiday and weekend coverage may be required according to unit needs
Must provide two recent professional references from a supervisor
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
Current BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
Proficiency with IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
Prior EPIC EMR experience required
Oncology experience is preferred but not required

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years' experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a busy, mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical floor
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with surgical oncology, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and plastics diagnosis
Typical patient diagnoses include breast, thyroid, melanoma, liver, pancreas, biliary tract, neuroendocrine, colon, and rectal cancers, as well as reconstructive breast procedures
Staffing ratios typically aim for 1:4 but may be 1:5
Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Weekend work required based on unit needs
Schedule requests are submitted for review prior to final posting
Orientation consists of weekday dayshift for the first week and on-unit precepted shifts in the second week
Uses Epic for computerized charting
Responsibilities include caring for PCU and Med Surg oncology patients with a heavy emphasis on infection prevention and patient falls
Orientation program includes assigned preceptor support
May be required to respond to oncologic emergencies such as cytokine release syndrome
No blocked scheduling is offered
First time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
Active OH or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a similar setting required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
ONS Chemotherapy certification is preferred
Experience with Epic charting is preferred
Experience administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin and heparin drips, and managing oncologic emergencies is required
