American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Skilled Nursing and Rehab position in a long-term care facility, requiring an active IL RN license and strong Med/Surg skills.
Responsibilities
Position is based in a skilled nursing and rehab unit within a long-term care facility
Cares for up to 20 residents with an average daily census of 72
Patient population includes dementia, rehab, and post-surgical cases
Direct patient care responsibilities, including IV administration and wound care
Required to work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:30 to 19:00
Every other weekend rotation is required
No on-call responsibilities
Utilizes PowerChart EMR system
First-time travelers will be considered for this position
Works closely with CNA/HCA staff as part of a collaborative care team
Special equipment such as lifting devices is utilized for patient care
Blue scrubs are required for staff attire
Free parking is available onsite
No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract and no RTO during the first week of orientation
Permanent facility employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
Requirements
Active IL RN license in hand required at time of consideration
Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
IV certification required prior to start
Dementia care training or experience strongly recommended
Strong Med/Surg and acute care experience helpful, but not required
Excellent customer service skills required
Experience with PowerChart EMR preferred

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in a skilled nursing and rehab setting requiring an active IL RN license and IV certification.
Responsibilities
Work in skilled nursing and rehabilitation units within a long-term care facility
Med/Surg and acute care patient population, including dementia and post-surgical patients
Direct care with up to 20 residents in an average daily census of 72
Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:30 to 07:00
Every other weekend rotation required
No on-call responsibilities
Utilizes PowerChart for EMR documentation
IV medications, wound care, and use of lifting equipment are part of typical duties
Daily responsibilities include primary nursing care, administering IV medications, wound care, and supporting rehabilitation for dementia and post-surgical patients
Works closely with CNA and HCA staff as part of a collaborative team
First-time travelers are accepted
No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off during orientation week
Scrub attire in any shade of blue is required
Free parking available onsite
Permanent employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler to the facility
All standard travelers may stay up to 18 months with a three-month break required after
Holiday time off is limited and cannot be guaranteed for every holiday
Requirements
Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
