Civil or Electrical Inspector Traffic Signal Experience
Job Responsibilities:
Inspect traffic signal, roadway, and related civil or electrical construction activities
Verify construction compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable standards
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives
Prepare inspection reports and documentation
Identify and report construction issues, safety concerns, or non-conforming work
Support project closeout and punch list activities as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience performing civil or electrical inspections, preferably related to traffic signal systems
bachelors degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, is required
Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and inspection practices for traffic signal projects
Inspectors who reside within a 30-mile radius of Contra Costa County
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on projects within Contra Costa County
Knowledge of local agency standards, procedures, and permitting processes
