Position Overview:
Staff position at our office in Rosharon Tx. Work under the direction of an estimating manager to generate complete proposals from receipt of RFQ to proposal submittal.
Position Responsibilities:
Preparation of proposals including cost, technical, and commercial responses.
Generate technical submittals required by client.

**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**
- Selects type and size of pipe, tube and related material according to job specification
- Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts indicating, recording, tele-metering, and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to control and measure variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing
- Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
- May disassemble malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects
- Replaces or repairs defective parts, using hand tools
- Reassembles instrument or test equipment, and tests assembly for conformance to specifications, using instruments
- Inspects instruments and test equipment periodically and adjusts calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards
- May calibrate instruments or test equipment according to established standards.
- Installs associated support structures, components and tubing
**Qualifications**
- May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.

As an employee-owner hired for an internship, you will be given the title of " **Project Intern** " and your duties could consist of:
+ Processing submittals by reviewing, stamping, filing and distributing submittals
+ Sending RFI's to architects and engineers
+ Resolving problems generated from the plans and specifications
+ Documentation- updating and distributing construction drawings, specification, shop drawings and samples
+ Participating in and aiding with weekly safety meetings as requested, including writing meeting minutes
+ Leading project orientation and maintenance of logs
+ Assisting with trade contractor coordination and scheduling
+ Assisting with maintaining project look ahead schedules
+ Verifying proper construction techniques per plans and specs (raise concerns and follow through until corrected)
+ Assisting with project planning and scheduling, giving interns a glimpse into the early stages of project development
+ Engaging in hands-on training with construction management software and tools, helping them develop valuable technical skills

**Requirements:**

Our interns are assigned a supervisor who is a professional with both expertise and educational background in the field. Interns can expect a preliminary meeting with their supervisor to discuss the goals, expectations, and desired outcomes of the internship. Employee-owners participating in an internship will be reviewed upon the completion of their internship. This review should be used as a tool to communicate the successes and learning outcomes of the internship. The supervisor will also complete any necessary paperwork that must be provided to the intern's school or university.
Individuals hired as interns will be classified as **Temporary employee-owners** as defined in Policy A-5. Temporary employee-owners are not eligible for vacation pay, holiday pay or any of the other benefits listed in Policy A-5.
Temporary employee-owners are expected to adhere to the same policies and procedures as regular, full-time employee-owners.
