In my role with the Australian Cycling Team I supported the national coaches and performance support team to identify and implement performance enhancing solutions across multiple disciplines.Earlier in my career I spent 7 years at Mapei Sport (Italy) where I worked along with several top level athletes and teams, including Cadel Evans (four time Olympian and 2011 Tour de France winner), Alex Zanardi (former F1 driver and four time Paralympic gold medallist) and Juventus FC (Italian Serie A team). I also developed and managed the company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2008).In 2015 I completed my PhD at Edith Cowan University (Perth, Australia) and won the Australian Institute of Sport award “for having conducted Exercise Physiology research that has had a substantial impact on Australian Sport.” I'm an active researcher with more than 30 international publications (i.e. peer-reviewed articles and book chapters).Between 2013 and 2018 I’ve been collaborating with the World Tour professional cycling team GreenEDGE (Mitchelton-Scott) as coach, sport scientist and performance manager. I have also worked with the Italian team prior to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and with the Australian team for the London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020ne Olympic Games.
