Summary: This variety camp is in need of Unit Heads who can address campers' needs and issues, check-in with parents periodically, ensure programming schedules, and be aware of where campers and staff are at all times in the event of an emergency. Handle any camper behavior or social issues and communicate them with the Director and be comfortable with medical/allergy needs of campers. Ensure the safety of all counselors and campers in your unit (and throughout camp). Must be comfortable implementing emergency plans (i.e., weather). Be aware of where campers and staff are at all times in the event of an emergency. Maintain a safe a clean environment for campers and fellow staff. Report all accidents, illnesses, and unusual circumstances to your supervisor and supervise camper health and safety. Maintain confidentially and professional relationship with parents and other staff. Must be able to walk most of the day, lift 40 pounds, and be comfortable leading their camp group. Act as a positive role model, who empowers campers to learn and experience new situations and maintain a positive attitude in difficult times.
