Parts Counter Duties :

  • Assist mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies
  • Help track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership
  • Locate available parts when the dealership is out of stock
  • Package and ship parts back to the manufacturer from time to time, and complete appropriate record keeping
  • Refer to parts manuals (both hard copy and electronic format) to identify exactly the right part(s) for the make, model and year of vehicles being serviced
  • Experience in automotive parts is preferred but not necessary.
  • Must have computer proficiency
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Pick up delivery of parts as needed
  • Flexible work week some nights or Saturdays

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a parts dealership or store is preferred but not required; High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree a plus; experience with German brands is also a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction results; Friendly, organized, team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills who is energetic and capable.
  • Candidate must be able to stand for eight to twelve hours during shift; bend, stretch, lift 50 lbs. plus, reaching and climbing; Using computers to look up and enter data.

JOB SUMMARY


RANDYS is looking for a hard working, self motivated, enthusiastic team player to be part of our distribution center operations; Join our small team and make a difference!

Warehouse or material handling experience preferred!


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • ~Ships, loads, unloads and transports product.
  • ~Enters data for invoicing, shipping & receiving.
  • ~Material Handling
  • ~Pulls merchandise according to part number and quantity; invoices sales orders.
  • ~Prepares items to be shipped in appropriate shipping material; packs merchandise by verifying that all parts are pulled correctly.
  • ~Operates forklift and order pickers.
  • ~Monitors inventory and quality control of products


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • ~High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ~Related experience in a distribution center environment preferred.
  • ~Demonstrated ability to operate forklift and use computer and electronic parts catalog.
  • ~Use of standard office equipment including computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, and telephone.
  • ~Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; job involves considerable physical activity.
  • ~Must be able to work in environment where air temperature varies due to outdoor weather changes (i.e. hot in summer, cold in winter).
