Performs welding of pipe, flanges and various fittings for fabrication or repair of machine parts, plant equipment and structures according to layout, blueprints or work orders using various welding processes.
Essential Job Functions:· Constructs, maintains, and modifies piping systems and process equipment related to petrochemical or other industry by welding of pipe, flanges and various fittings using applicable welding techniques and processes required to produces welds that meet applicable codes and client requirements.
· Measures pipe routing and draft pipe configuration.
· Perform repair, prep, grinding and re-weld procedures on pipe to meet proper welding codes· Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup and housekeeping activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:· Knowledge of the AWS, ANSI and ASME codes.
· Knowledge of operation of welding equipment, beveling machines, electrodes, fluxes, shielding gasses and welding processes.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources.

Responsibilities
Welding Robot Operator Responsibilities:
* Following the production orders, prepare parts and assemble components into assemblies by teaching the robot and executing robotic welding.
* Execute welds in accordance with company's procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
* Maintain equipment in proper functioning status by applying preventative maintenance, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing minor malfunctions as needed.
* Inspecting finished welds for conformance to specifications.

Salary - Per credit hour, based on course assignment Under the direct supervision of the Training Director, Welding, performs the following functions: Duties and Responsibilities PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONAL SERVICES: Assists with development of course outcomes and curriculum which are consistent with Academic Affairs, department, and technology / program goals; convey course outcomes and expectations to students according to college policy; organize and manage instructional activities; use appropriate learner-centered instructional methods; provide evaluation methods appropriate to stated outcomes; evaluate student learning in a fair manner; posts and maintains sufficient office hours compatible with student schedules; maintain accurate records of evaluation and course work including attendance; submit grades as required and on time; regularly seeks feedback on course delivery and student learning; participate in college evaluation system of instructional services; revise / update courses regularly, contribute to the assessment of student academic achievement; Work cooperatively with others to accomplish the goals of the department and technology; At all times maintains a safe working area and conditions. Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills Position Requirements
Associate degree in area of study or related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Degree must be from a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent as verified by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.
5+ years of industry experience preferred.
AWS Certified Welding Educator, or ability to obtain.
Skills in:
Reading, understanding, and use of technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong technology skills including usage of Microsoft Office, and Email. Experience with Blackboard LMS system preferred.
