    Autocad designer job in Columbus, OH

    Requirements Experience: Minimum of 10 years in residential architecture, specifically in the design-build industry, with extensive experience in exterior design, additions, new builds, and whole-house remodels. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Chief Architect, etc.) Design Expertise: Strong understanding of residential architecture styles, exterior design principles, construction methods, and wood framing techniques. Highly Organized: Excellent organizational skills to manage detailed design work and documentation across multiple projects. Communication: Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Comfortable engaging with clients, contractors, and team members in various situations, including unplanned meetings. Problem-Solving: Creative problem solver with the ability to address design challenges and site constraints effectively. Code Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, zoning laws, and regulations. Flexible Work Style: Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Client Relations & Lead Generation: Personable and approachable individual with strong client-facing skills to build rapport, foster positive relationships, generate new sales opportunities, and maintain an up-to-date pipeline. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field. Professional licensure or certification in architecture or residential design. Experience with sustainable exterior design practices, green building standards, and energy-efficient materials. Experience specifically with Chief Architect.
