Progressive Design, Inc. is currently seeking an Electrical Designer. This is a full time/direct hire position that will sit onsite at a large client's industrial facility that is located in Richmond, VA.

We serve Fortune 500 companies in industries such as chemical, tobacco, power, films, fibers, plastics, paper, pharmaceuticals, metals, food and beverage, and discrete manufacturing.
General Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the design, verification and modification to manufacturing facility electrical drawings (power distribution, panel layouts, and equipment electrical schematics).
· Responsible for checking incoming vendor documentation.
· Responsible for inputting vendor documentation into facility database per required CAD standards.
· Assist facility personnel with requests for researching, plotting and creation of new drawings as needed.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2019
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Excellent organizational, design and drafting skills.
· Ability to easily move about an industrial facility.
· Ability to read, understand, and review engineering drawings.
· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Must be results oriented

· Must possess uncompromised commitment to quality
· Must have a valid Driver's license, & pass a Background & Drug test

Job Summary

Established custom casework/architectural millwork fabricator seeks an individual to join our Engineering department with a minimum of two years AutoCAD Experience. Candidate will use industry software to create and maintain a library of products and materials which, when optimized, generate e-files of cut bills for the appropriate machining center. Wood CadCam / Homag iX CAD software knowledge a plus and will be compensated accordingly. Pay will be negotiated based upon experience.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates.

· Determines reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.

· Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required to machine part.

· Prepares geometric layout using computer-assisted drafting software to show location of reference points and direction of cutting paths.

· Writes instruction sheets and cut lists to guide setup and operation of machine.

· Writes program of machine instructions in symbolic language to direct numerical control database to regulate movement of machine along cutting path.

· Compares computer printout with original program sheet to assure accuracy of machine instructions.

· Revises program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.

· Observes operation of machine on trial run to prove programmed instructions.

Siewert Cabinet is a second-generation family business that was established in 1965. We do mostly commercial casework, fixtures, and architectural millwork for retail, entertainment, hospitality, & medical segments.

We are located just outside of downtown, in South Minneapolis

Our shop operates on a 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday), with overtime often available on Fridays.
