About the AutoCAD Drafter Position

We are looking for reliable, experienced, and professional self-starters to join our team as AutoCAD Drafters. Be advised, this role is for early career drafters.

This is a full-time, hourly employee position, and you will be evaluated based on your ability to interpret sales proposals, text descriptions, photographs, and land surveys, and bring it to life by creating technically accurate plans using AutoCAD on a regular basis. The AutoCAD drafter reports to the Manager of Engineering, and collaborates with team members across the organization, specifically in sales and installs. The work done by Florida Power House is on residential generators, and therefore is electrical in nature; electrical engineering knowledge is required. The work environment for the Drafter is a typical office and warehouse environment, and following the probationary period, remote work will be considered.

The successful AutoCAD Drafter will possess:

+ Understand local regulations, specifically permitting, electrical codes, zoning, and flood elevations

+ Manage projects for the drafting of plans and drawings

+ Discover errors or technical problems found during reviews of photos, documents, and drawings

Qualifications

+ At least 2 years of experience creating technical plans, specifically in MEP specifications/plans

+ Education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumping (MEP) engineering required

+ Structural knowledge is desired, architectural knowledge a plus

+ Experience using Buildertrend construction management software

+ Ability to execute the responsibilities of the job, with or without accommodations
