Planate Management Group autocad operator job description

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The AutoCAD Operator will be supporting the design team in providing logistic and data collection services. These include the review of existing drawings and preparation of draft drawings/findings applicable to a project.
The work of performance will be in Honolulu, Hawaii, and contingent on the task order award.

Key responsibilities:

+ Coordinate with Engineers and Architects for the exchange of information related to the scope of work

+ Interpret, analyze and follow standards required by the project

+ Prepares detailed drawings, working plans, and presentation graphics from notes, verbal instructions, and rough or detailed sketches

+ Recommend drafting standards to be used

+ Assist with the development of CAD system

+ Ensure compliance with project CAD standards

+ Orient newly hired drafting staff on the CAD standards and the QA System

+ Maintaining drawings to the relevant standards. Accurate production of work

+ Review drafting output prior to forwarding to engineering

+ Have an appreciation of project costs. Maintain work within project budgets

+ Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

+ Degree or technical education in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, or related field

+ At least 3-5 working experience in building design is required for this position

+ Must be proficient with architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical plans, must be knowledgeable of engineering tables, plans, and specifications, and must have a working knowledge of computer networks

+ Experience with AutoCAD 2016 or the latest version

+ Familiarity with military programming rules and documentation is desirable

+ Ability to interact with all levels of management

+ Proficient in English both oral and written

+ Must be US Citizen and residing in Hawaii.
