The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of raw materials, components, and finished automotive parts within the manufacturing facility. This role supports production by ensuring timely delivery of materials to the appropriate workstations and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Material Handler plays a vital role in maintaining workflow and supporting just-in-time (JIT) manufacturing processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Deliver raw materials and components to production lines according to schedule.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, labeling, and data entry.

Production Fulfillment: Fulfills production requirements.
Part Placement: To place finished parts in proper container/rack and designated location.
Record Keeping: To record on work order all labor and downtime, documenting all information pertaining to each work order and routing.
Maintenance: Performs daily shift maintenance inspection per the preventative maintenance (PM) checklist.
Collaboration: Confers with the Team Leader or Crew Leader on any problems regarding safety, quality, production, inventory issues, etc. Confers with Engineering Programmer to maximize potential efficiency and quality gains in the manufacturing process.
Work Area Maintenance: Maintain high quality standards as regards to machine and work area. Removal of all metal scrap, debris, and residue from machine as needed.

SUMMARY
The Customer Quality Technician (QCT) plays a critical role within the Quality team, supporting the Customer Quality Engineering team. This role is a hands-on introduction to Quality Engineering. Develop, create, and revise work instructions (QJIs), setup instructions, and visual aids.
