How will you make an impact? We are hiring an NPI Quality Assurance Engineer III to own product and process quality across our cloud business at Salisbury. You will lead ISO 9001:2015 systems, build control plans and quality gates from New Product Introduction, (NPI), through mass ramp, and use data to prevent defects before they're born. Understand and Translate Customer and regulatory requirements into Internal Work Instructions, Visual Aids and other applicable documents. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Responsible for assisting with design reviews of automation. * Responsible for the generation of cost saving opportunities related to automation and the presentation of this to management on a regular basis. * Maintains and improves all existing automation machines in the division. * Coordinates automation activities with outside suppliers. * Generates specifications for improving new or existing automation machines. * Approves designs of new upgrades for automation machines. * Manages construction time schedules to meet the production schedule needs on new automation machines. * Manage and schedule automation machine rebuilds * Responsible for procurement of purchase orders for automation projects at suppliers. * Assists in production start-ups as related to automation machines * Assists with the troubleshooting of new and existing automation machines. * Oversees each division's continual improvement of automation machines. * Assists other divisions with various automation projects as needed. * Required to use a handheld propane torch on the production floor. * Travel Globally to facilities and vendors. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting testing at our manufacturing facility in Mebane, NC. Qualifications: Basic technical tasks training with 2+ years of experience. Alternately, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments. Requires ability to determine actions within limits defined by test equipment practices and procedures, and to select, reduce and summarize pertinent test data.
