This position is full-time on-site in Warner Robins, GA and will support the Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit, within the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector. This location primarily supports the design, delivery, and sustainment of embedded software and mission planning systems on various US and foreign airborne platforms. The Quality and Mission Assurance organization is chartered with providing the skills and experience required to support a robust Quality Management System designed to ensure products and services meet or exceed internal and external customer requirements and promote mission success. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80, to allow employees every other Friday off. The Principal Software Quality Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform process audits of software development processes to assure compliance to established policies, procedures, work instructions, and program specific plans. Review customer, system and software requirements to ensure the flow down of requirements is complete and unambiguous. Interpret customer technical, software, and quality requirements and ensure those requirements are integrated into program plans, specifications, and product documents. Provide technical and process oversight of the full Software and Systems product development lifecycle, including software, system, integration, test, cyber, safety, airworthiness, electrical, and configuration and data management. Collaborate with Program and Engineering management on program quality planning and the establishment of program quality objectives. Participate in contractual reviews and audits, program/IPT meetings, and configuration control board meetings. Collaborate with software engineering and systems engineering functions to ensure quality standards are in place and followed. Peer review software documents to ensure appropriate content and adherence to standards. Witness execution of software qualification and system acceptance tests to ensure tests are executed in accordance with approved test procedures, requirements are fully verified, and that all test procedure and software anomalies are documented and tracked to closure.
