Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Air Vehicle System Test Engineer - Engineering Field Service Representative** (FSR) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation (T&E) organization.
This position requires 6+ months of training on a Domestic Assignment to **Pax River, MD and Rancho Bernardo, CA.** After training is completed, it is expected that the candidate will be available to deploy to **Japan, Italy, United Arab Emirates, or Guam** for a minimum of **24 months** , based on current business needs. Who We Are Looking For: Phoenix Tailings is looking for a QA/QC Engineer to drive the reliability, traceability, and standardization of our rare earth metal production. This engineer will be integral to enforcing quality standards throughout every stage of the production lifecycle-from feedstock qualification through final ingot packaging. You'll work hands-on across operations, engage with external analytical partners, and help implement a quality management systems. This is a mission-critical role to ensure our metals meet the rigorous purity and specification demands of high-tech applications. Key Responsibilities
Develop, execute, and continuously improve QA/QC protocols across feedstock intake, oxide pre-treatment, metal production, and post-processing
Lead hands-on sampling, analytical testing, and batch qualification procedures using internal and external labs
Ensure traceability of each batch through digital tracking systems, linking raw materials to final product
Maintain and enforce quality holds at key checkpoints (e.g., moisture analysis, ICP-OES validation, GDMS/WDXRF)
Own and manage root-cause analysis and corrective actions for any failed or out-of-spec batches
Collaborate with engineering teams on process audits to identify, rank, and control quality-impacting parameters
Drive continuous improvement through experimentation, statistical process control, and implementation of corrective/preventative actions (CAPAs)
Interface with 3rd-party analytical labs to validate repeatability and accuracy for customer-facing specifications
Qualifications:
B.S. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field
3+ years of experience in quality engineering or analytical testing in a manufacturing or chemical environment
Familiarity with analytical techniques such as ICP-OES, GDMS, XRF, SEM-EDS, and moisture analysis
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and data analysis proficiency
Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation

+ Provide expert guidance and technical leadership to resolve complex data conversion challenges and performance issues.
+ Serve as the subject matter expert on SAP data structures (e.g., master data, transactional data), data integration methods, and data governance principles.
+ Ensure compliance with project standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements throughout the data conversion process.
+ Partner with other technical architects (e.g., infrastructure, security) to ensure the data conversion solution is scalable, secure, and aligns with the enterprise architecture.
+ Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior team members.
**_Qualifications_**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred
+ 8+ years of experience with SAP implementations and ABAP knowledge in respective business processes like Master data, OTC, PRI, SCE, RTR and PTP preferred.
+ 3-5 years of experience with SAP Data Services and Data conversions preferred.
+ Experience in ALE/IDOC, LSMW, RDM/BPDM
+ Demonstrates a knowledge of Master Data Management domain
+ Ability to define work processes and lead team members in successful implementation and ongoing execution preferred
+ Ability to develop individuals and teams preferred
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills preferred
+ Excellent organizational skills preferred
**Anticipated salary range:** $94,900 - $135,600
