The Staff Quality Assurance Engineer or Scientist is responsible for facilitating application of quality system and design control processes with teams across Beckman Coulter Life Science products including instrumentation, software and consumables.
This position reports to the Jim Taller and is part of the Development Quality Team located in Indianapolis and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Representing quality assurance on development teams, quality systems and product improvement projects for Beckman Coulter Life Science.
Coaching teams with application of ISO 9001/13485/cGMP/IEC 62304 and quality systems processes throughout product lifecycle.
Partnering cross functionally to ensure product and service conformance with particular focus on Design Controls, Document Controls, Risk Management (per ISO 14971), Production, Service Controls.
Assuring compliant process and product documentation, inclusive of Design History, Product, Process and Service documentation in support of product realization and commercialization within the Beckman Coulter quality system.
Awareness of current industry standards and regulations and how they relate to internal policies and procedures. Influences interpretation of internal policies and procedures to ensure quality and compliance.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Degree in engineering or other science or related field; or equivalent experience required.
BS+7 or MS+4 years' experience in product development, manufacturing and / or quality systems (ISO 9001), medical device (ISO 13485), pharmaceutical, related life sciences or other regulated industries.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Ability to identify, develop and execute quality system, product and process improvements. Driving change cross functionally across multi-site operations.
Certified Software or Quality Engineer (SQA) preferred and/or Auditor Certification desired.
Experience with product software development lifecycle management

ROLE: As a Senior Corporate Quality Assurance Specialist, you will join a team of professionals within the Technical Services (TS) organization, who provide quality and engineering oversight, guidance, and assistance to Business Units (BUs) within HEICO Parts Group (HPG). In this role, you will perform mainly quality assurance tasks such as BU compliance audits to FAA regulations, corporate policies and industry standards. You may be required to support quality control and process excellence tasks/projects. This position will have significant interaction with BUs at different levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain mutually trustful relationships with the Technical Services team, and BU personnel.
Assess BU compliance to HPG quality manual and policies, FAA regulations, corporate policies through a combination of desk reviews and onsite audit activities.
Classification of nonconformances and audit report generation.
Conduct risk analysis for identified non-conformances.
Facilitation of, and accountable for closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions arising from audit activities.
Ensure awareness of HPG corporate requirements at BU.
Promote a quality driven culture throughout the organization by applying effective quality practices and standards.
Continuously improve HPG quality auditing tools and practices.

BU QUALITY CONSULTATION TYPE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Capture and flow best practices to BUs, and to the extent possible, harmonize BU implementation of these practices, including inspection methodologies.
Act as a process compliance/quality assurance consultant to BU enabling a culture of collaboration and utilizing best practices.
Create training material and conduct training on quality assurance topics for Bus.
May be required to assist in developing quality inspection plans to help BUs streamline inspection methodologies.
TEAM SUPPORT:
Support HPG Quality Director in driving closure for customer complaints, analyzing trends, leading root cause and corrective actions to address defect trends. Also help with tracking waivers and mitigation plans as required.
Conduct risk analysis for the identified defect trends in partnership with key BU and TS personnel
Support HPG Quality Director in establishing and monitoring BU quality performance indicators based on audit results and risk analysis.

EDUCATION:

The Video Operations team is responsible for supporting the architecture and delivery of VOD and Live content streamed across over 15 platforms. Video Quality Assurance is an extremely important aspect of the team's success. This role will collaborate with multiple teams to deliver the best possible product.
This role will be responsible for video testing across multiple platforms and projects, including regression testing, smoke testing, and ad hoc testing. We are looking for someone who is experienced with agile scrum methodology and can be an active participant in all scrum rituals. In addition to being a representative from the video operations team, you will work closely with product management and engineering. This role requires going beyond running test cases, as it will be responsible for ensuring the requirements of the video operations team are being met.
Your Day-to-Day:
? Regression and ad hoc testing daily builds
? Testing Video Players and other video related projects
? Writing bugs and verifying fixes from developers
? Actively participating in daily team meetings
? Working with Product and Project managers to set timelines

Qualifications:

Job Description:
Product Engineering / Requirements Development:
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to elicit, analyze, define, and manage clear, testable business and system requirements.
Translate complex business needs into well-structured functional and non-functional requirements and user stories.
Maintain and update requirements documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
Conduct gap analysis and traceability between business needs, requirements, and deliverables.
Ensure product features align with organizational goals and end-user expectations.
Quality Assurance Engineering (Process-Focused):
Establish and maintain verification and validation plans, using risk-based approaches to ensure product quality meets stakeholder expectations.
Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users, ensuring scenarios reflect real-world workflows.
Design and manage usability evaluations to assess user interaction, interface design, and overall experience.
Apply quality metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness of product features, testing, and process performance.
Conduct root cause analyses, post-implementation reviews, and lessons learned sessions.
Lead customer satisfaction assessments and surveys to identify opportunities for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging quality methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or PDCA cycles.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analysis, Quality, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in product requirements, technical documentation, or business analysis.
5+ years of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or product validation and verification roles.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to write structured, precise technical and business documentation.
Strong facilitation skills for conducting requirements workshops, UAT sessions, and usability studies.
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and process modeling tools.
Working knowledge of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, CMMI).
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile practices.
Preferred Skills
Experience with user experience (UX) evaluation or design-thinking methods.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Quality (e.g., CQE, Lean Six Sigma).
Exposure to metrics-driven project improvement and quality assurance programs.
Understanding of regulatory or compliance environments, where applicable (e.g., finance).

For candidates in Colorado, the annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. This range is estimated for this role and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
