MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university preferred; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This full-time on-site position is located at the UCOR office in Oak Ridge, TN. UCOR is conducting major cleanup activities at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and the Y-12 National Security Complex as well as remedial activities at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP). Cleanup missions on the Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR) focus on protecting people and the environment from industrial and chemical hazards while enabling current and future science and national security programs. UCOR also leads critical projects (e.g., Outfall 200 Mercury Treatment Facility and the Environmental Management Disposal Facility) and manages nuclear operations facilities at the ORNL and Transuranic Waste Processing Center. Generate technical reports and documentation for internal and external team members.

Collaborate closely with product and manufacturing engineers in equipment specification and procurement to support new product production and incremental capacity.
Education & Experience:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in the design and implementation of electrical control systems.
Proficiency in programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMIs.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Quality Engineer independently supports all areas of the American Centrifuge Operating-Oak Ridge Quality Assurance Program. Responsible for ensuring the requirements of the Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD) and applicable implementing procedures are followed. Supports the manufacturing floor with quality issues, leads root cause analysis (RCA) investigations, drives corrective and preventative actions, produces and trends actionable key program metrics, and fosters continuous improvement.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of fabrication and inspection plans and establishment of quality hold points

Assist in implementation of nonconformance processing

Perform supplier selection and performance evaluation activities

Develop process capability metrics for products and utilize statistical methods to develop and implement capability improvements
Lead evaluation of test equipment and precision measuring instruments
