Cloud Test Automation Engineer
Our Informatics R&D center in Granada is a PerkinElmer Informatics core site in Visual Analytics, Data Science and Bioinformatics. We create software and solutions to help scientists make the next breakthrough discovery for a healthier world.
This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in Spain.

Role Description:
Design test plans, write and execute test cases for functional and/ or performance within the domain assigned Develop and maintain automated test cases within the test framework Work as a member of the scrum team including planning, estimating, and verifying user stories and acceptance criteria Develop strong expertise in the assigned domain area Effectively communicate status, metrics, and issues on a regular basis Understanding and complying of/ to Informatics practices Assist in creating test summary reports of high quality, written language and content Become a user expert on how our products work, gaining an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses; and championing customer issues in order to ensure they have a positive experience

Role Requirements:
Computer Science and/ or Science-based Bachelor's degree Experience with qualifying high-volume, scalable SaaS solutions Experience working in an agile/scrum environment is preferred Working knowledge of Linux operating systems Experience working on SaaS solutions based in AWS or AzureExperience with technologies like Docker and/or KubernetesExcellent understanding of Quality Assurance life cycle, methodologies and best practices Knowledge in test case management and bug tracking systems such as Jira, Zephyr is preferred Good English, written and verbal

Requirements:
• 2+ years automated testing (non-manual) in all areas of the SDLC (i.e. front-end, back-end, middle-tier)
• 2+ years of experience as an automation engineer in creating new automated tests in Java using Junit 5 or TestNG
• 2+ years with testing tools/libraries for an application front end using Java or JavaScript (Selenium or Playwright)
• Advanced, hands-on experience with Selenium testing
• able to enhance a test framework design and implementation
• A Bachelor's degree
• the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance

Preferred:
• 2+ years with testing tools/libraries for API based testing using (REST Assured, JSON or Postman)
• have working knowledge of Git and Maven
• have experience setting up automated testing pipelines using Jenkins and Linux scripting
• previously had ownership over the data quality of a product or project, including test planning and execution, and maintaining test scripts
• have used Eclipse as your IDE in previous projects
• tracked issues with Jira
• have experience collaborating and presenting your work to customer and end-users

What your day will look like:
• You'll work with technical leads, business analysts, product owners, developers, manual testers, etc. to design and develop test automation solutions to validate data and metadata delivery pipelines
• You'll provide day-to-day support on testing related activities, such as converting manual test cases to automated regression test scripts and actively maintaining test scripts
• You'll prioritize product releases in a CI/CD pipeline
• You'll participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver on your commitments

Hardware

+ We want you to have 3+ years of wireless SOC test automation experience. We are open to multiple experience levels.

+ Experience with wireless SOC software/automation tool development and flow, firmware and DUT control level automation experience is preferred.

+ Strong programming skills with Python for test script generation in a HW/SW environment and strong debugging capabilities.

+ Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

+ Experience with automation infrastructure integration (e.g. GIT/Gitlab/CI, Jenkins, database).

+ Good understanding of databases (e.g. Mongodb or SQL).

+ Experience with RFIC chipset test with lab equipment such as signal generator, spectrum analyzer, DC analyze is preferred.

+ Experience with digital interfaces, FPGA, and Production Test systems is plus.

**Description**

Gather requirements, architect, and implement and maintain the test automation tools covering the wireless SoC test flow. Develop software for automating test equipment control, device control, test flow control, data acquisition and processing. Support validation and design engineers for bring up and test wireless SoC, perform system integration, characterization and optimization. Work with RF validation engineers to develop software automation test plan, analyze test data and generate test reports. Continually work to improve testing speed, coverage, accuracy and reliability.

**Education & Experience**

Bachelor's degree in CE, CS, EE or related field is required, Master degree preferred.
