We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist who will be responsible for operating various machines including Lathe, OD Grinder, Surface Grinder, Knee Mill, Bridgeport Mill, and Radial Drill. **Responsibilities**

Our machinist at Silfex are integral in making our high quality precision silicon components. As a machinist you will be responsible for safely setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machines to produce the highest quality parts and meet the customer expectations, in the most efficient manner.

Job Summary:
CNC machinists at Ariel are responsible for producing high-precision parts that we use to manufacture the world's best compressors. Our production floor includes a variety of lathes, mills, and grinders to machine cast iron and other various metals. Our machinists do everything from the initial set-up to choosing the tooling and correct programs. Quality checks are performed on every part using precision measuring equipment to ensure the integrity of our product. Production schedules work off of a dispatch list using SAP.
At Ariel, there are many opportunities within the Machine Shop. Most machinists work individually on an assigned machine; however, some work centers are team oriented. The type of work center you are assigned to depends on the size and type of part you are machining. You may turn, mill, or grind parts as small as a valve cap, or as large as the frames our compressors are built around.

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Machinist to support our production operations by performing routine and complex maintenance on stamping dies. The ideal candidate will be experienced in inspecting, repairing, sharpening, cleaning, and modifying progressive and/or transfer stamping dies to ensure optimal performance, part quality, and die longevity.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess stamping dies for wear, damage, or malfunction.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble dies using hand and power tools.
Sharpen cutting and forming components using surface grinders and other precision machining equipment.
Repair or replace worn or damaged die components (e.g., punches, dies, springs, guide pins).
Troubleshoot die performance issues during production and recommend/implement corrective actions.
Perform preventative maintenance on dies based on schedule or usage.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders) and potentially CNC equipment for die modification or component fabrication.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize die performance.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or apprenticeship in Tool & Die preferred.
3+ years of experience in tool and die maintenance, preferably in a stamping environment.
Strong understanding of progressive and/or transfer die construction and function.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
Skilled in surface grinding, polishing, and manual machining operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and die specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
