A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AUTOMOTIVE DIAGNOSTICIAN / MECHANIC

As an Automotive Diagnostician / Mechanic, you perform vital services for our auto repair shop. You are an extremely observant person who looks over our customers' vehicles to find and diagnose both electrical and mechanical problems. After listening to the customer's issue with their car, you perform electrical and general diagnostics to determine the source of the problem.

Once you've identified the areas in need of repairs or maintenance, you report your findings to your team and the customer. You then diligently complete general repairs, doing what you can to get our clients back on the road. You find great satisfaction in working on cars and bringing peace of mind to our customers!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN AUTOMOTIVE DIAGNOSTICIAN / MECHANIC

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Clean driving record

YOUR LIFE AS AN AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

This automotive repair position is full-time and has a varying schedule . Our mechanics typically work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts .

As an entry-level Automotive Mechanic, you team up with managers and other mechanics to diagnose and service cars. You perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work. Always attentive to detail, you identify and address mechanical problems and malfunction codes found in the electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems. You also complete preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, air conditioning services, and fluid fills, as well as replace brake pads, spark plugs, and batteries.

As you work on each car, you make sure to keep accurate records of the service history. You always keep an open line of communication with clients as you come up with cost and timeline estimates. Additionally, you frequently participate in ongoing training and other learning opportunities to improve your knowledge and technical skills. What will you do?

· Primary job function will be installing new aftermarket equipment on new vehicles.

· Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety for our customers.
