**What you will do - Essential responsibilities**

+ Perform paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing and buffing to make cars look as good as new

+ Carry out dent repair, masking, sanding and grinding to ensure sound bodywork

+ Repair and replace small plastic and other parts to ensure everything about the vehicle is in good working order

+ Follow and promote CarMax's high standards of safety, cleanliness and organization

**Qualifications and requirements**

+ Experience in one or more of the following: masking, sanding, grinding and applying paint

+ Manual dexterity and physical stamina, lift heavy objects, and walk and stand for extended periods of time

+ A strong customer focus and attention to detail

+ Possession of a valid driver's license

JOB SUMMARY: To provide comprehensive scenic painting service in a workshop facility which will be instrumental in maintaining and expanding the visual portion of the guest experience at Universal Orlando Resorts.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Paint various props (ex. - wood graining, aging, textures) to match existing surfaces.

+ Perform layout, sculpting, theming and painting of various props from Artist direction and/or conceptual drawings.

+ Perform air brush and conventional spraying, fades and blending.

+ Perform cosmetic fiberglass repairs and gel coats utilizing various materials.

+ Documentation of paints and procedures used in modifications and repairs.

+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE: Responsible for a thorough knowledge of paints, performance characteristics and correct application techniques in order to meet Artist intent.

EDUCATION:

+ High school degree or GED is required.

+ Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two year college or technical school is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

+ Required:

+ 3-5 years' experience in theme painting and air brush painting.

+ Color matching and blending of new to existing finishes is necessary

+ Preferred:

+ 5-7 years proven experience in a similar work environment dealing with critical paint issues

+ Knowledge of all phases of paint, fiberglass and sculpting are needed to be successful in this job classification

+ Free Style painting is a plus.

Our client is looking Automotive Painters for their Grand Prairie, TX location!


Responsibilities

• Repaint parts, touch up paint. Replace defective parts and do any preventative maintenance required. Organization of parts as required completing repairs.
• Duties include unloading/loading plastic parts from the conveyor system, cleaning and upkeep of paint racks, maintenance and troubleshooting of the paint system, and other tasks that contribute to the continuous movement and flow of the paint line.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipment to transport parts required in shop.
• Perform inspection tasks, including packaging audit as required, as defined by the Process Control Plan, or applicable instruction sheets.
• Perform painting tasks using/operating an industrial paint sprayer
• Package parts according to the requirements.
• Fill out appropriate production paperwork, including working with the Lead to document defects via the paint monitoring system.
• Backup and assist painting operations when needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications

• Automotive Painters must pass a paint test.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to apply common computer skills.
