ASRC Federal Communications is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) to support our Air Force customer under the ISS2 contract at Eareckson Air Station (EAS), located on Shemya Island in Alaska's Aleutian chain. This is a rotational position: employees work 3 months on-site followed by 1 month off unpaid. While on-site, housing and meals are provided, and transportation is furnished from Anchorage to EAS via government-sponsored aircraft (employees are responsible for their own travel to Anchorage). What You'll Do Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fire vehicles, heavy fire apparatus, emergency equipment, and light-to-heavy trucks (up to Class 8). Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards and DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation) compliance.
