The A&P Mechanic - Boeing 737-MAX 8 BBJ is responsible for performing high-level maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) MAX 8 aircraft. Execute component replacements, SB/AD compliance, structural repairs, and configuration-controlled cabin changes per BBJ documentation. Support AOG recovery and rapid-response troubleshooting in remote or international locations as needed. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation Ensure all maintenance actions comply with FAA regulations, company procedures, and BBJ-specific maintenance programs. Accurately document work performed in digital maintenance tracking systems and aircraft logbooks. Review and apply Boeing AMM, BBJ CMP, SRM, IPC, WDM, and service bulletins. Coordinate with Quality Assurance for inspections, major repairs, and return-to-service authorization. Inspection, Diagnostics & Troubleshooting Perform detailed inspections of airframe, powerplant, avionics, and high-touch cabin systems unique to BBJ configuration. Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and built-in test systems (BITE) to identify and resolve MAX 8 discrepancies. Conduct borescope inspections on LEAP-1B engines, APU troubleshooting, and avionics system evaluations. VIP Cabin, Interior & Special Systems Support Maintain and repair VIP furnishings, luxury materials, cabinetry, and premium finishes. Troubleshoot and support Cabin Management Systems (CMS), satellite communications, Wi-Fi, Blu-ray/AV systems, and aircraft internet hardware. Work closely with flight crews and cabin staff to ensure the aircraft meets VVIP standards of comfort and functionality. Safety, Quality & Operational Excellence Uphold the highest levels of safety, confidentiality, and customer service expected in VIP aviation environments. Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes, reliability programs, and long-term fleet health monitoring. Applicants must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government clearance with polygraph. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph. The contractor will be responsible for the proper repair and maintenance for a large fleet of forklifts and related equipment of various brands (predominately Raymond). The forklift fleet consists of a variety of electric, gas-, and diesel-powered units designed for interior and exterior building use. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive maintenance schedule, obtaining approval for the schedule from appropriate government focal points, and adhering to the schedule in order to ensure all forklift units are mechanically ready for use and safe to operate. The contractor shall manage a spare parts inventory and make all levels of repairs when necessary. The contractor will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining pallet jacks and carts. Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities Schedules, prioritizes, inspects, and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts Determines, within prescribed value range, when a major component/ assembly is to be repaired, rebuilt, replaced or discarded Responsible for assisting with the purchasing of parts and services Required to maintain fleet and training vehicles; and prepares written estimates on cost and labor time for corrective repairs. Interacts with customers to keep them informed of status of vehicles, repairs needed, etc. Based on assignment, independently performs corrective maintenance and repairs to the fleet. Informs government focal point if a task cannot be safely performed alone. Inspects, diagnoses and isolates vehicle and equipment malfunctions; troubleshoots, traces and locates defects and/or causes of mechanical problems to determine type and extent of necessary repairs. Repairs all assigned forklifts and equipment to ensure they are safe and dependable. Inspects and tests equipment for mechanical defects, and replaces worn parts. Removes, replaces, adjusts, or cleans defective parts or components Perform oil changes, check fluids, diagnose tread wear, charge and repair batteries and trouble-shoot problems. Inspects/replaces hydraulic lines/hoses as needed. Ensure braking and electrical systems are optimal. Utilizes appropriate techniques and procedures in accordance with manufacturer's specification Identifies necessary parts, equipment and supplies needed to complete repair or preventative check. Road tests vehicles during and occasionally upon completion of maintenance/repair work. Responds to emails and telephone calls. Performs other related duties as required or as directed by Supervisor regarding forklift and equipment maintenance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive knowledge of the operating systems used in forklifts and associated hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of the practices and tools used in the maintenance and diagnostics of forklifts and equipment. Considerable knowledge of computer, electrical, transistorized and other non-mechanical systems and how they tie-in with and affect the operation of mechanical systems. Considerable knowledge of the full range of tools, equipment, test procedures and practices used in the repair and preventative maintenance of forklifts. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Experience diagnosing complex mechanical and related malfunctions. Expertise in reading technical manuals, references and specifications and service and recall bulletins. Written communication skills necessary to write routine correspondences, maintenance logs and order forms. Expertise in how to operate a forklift, power tools, wrenches, diagnostic equipment, and jacks. Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Office Suite. Adaptability to prioritize and schedule multiple work requirements. Flexibility in work schedule. Representational skills necessary to interact with outside vendors. Working knowledge of diesel, gas, and electric mechanics. Experience welding simple parts. Work Environment The work is usually performed inside on concrete surfaces where there is exposure to drafts, noise, and fumes from vehicles. Forklift technician - Senior occasionally perform work outside under adverse weather conditions. They are continually exposed to dirt, dust, and grease, and to the potential for burns, chemical irritations, shocks, bruises, cuts, and strains. To reduce dangers and irritations from these conditions, they follow prescribed safety practices and use safety equipment such as safety shoes and glasses, and respirators. Tools used in this occupation: Hand and power tools Scanners Modular diagnostic information systems Welding equipment Lifts Minimum Qualifications Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in the problem diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of forklift maintenance. Education: High school Diploma or GED equivalent. Special Certifications: Certified in the safe operation of forklifts by the Sponsor within 30-days of commencing work and every 24-months as required.
