Earnings Potential:
The wage range for this role is $40,000.00 to $100,000.00 annual. This is just one part of our total rewards package which additionally includes performance bonuses for eligible roles, commissions, and competitive benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and our manufacturer standards.
Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair. Communicates with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with the Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Road tests vehicles when required.
Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
Supervises work of any apprentice Technicians as assigned. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to direct supervisor.
Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Keeps the shop area neat and clean.
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right to Know and other safety requirements.
Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
Completed other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Technical or trade school degree required, or minimum three years of automotive repair experience required.
Technical aptitude displayed by ASE certification preferred.
Must be able to work on and repair multiple makes of vehicles.
Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles, both automatic and manual transmissions.
Must have manual dexterity, good judgment, and ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely and efficiently.
Travel to relevant training courses required.
A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record must be maintained for occasional travel requirements and essential job functions.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Mechanic II:
Have High School Diploma or GED. Trade school graduate in heavy duty diesel repairs, and/or refrigeration
classes. Beginning level is preferred.
Have 2 years job experience on diesel repairs, tractor- trailer, refrigeration maintenance and repairs.
One year documented experience in fleet maintenance or one-year employment with company at upper scale of Class C Technician.
Posses basic hand tools (up to ½” drive) and tool storage.
Posses or acquire within 1 year from date of hire a current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) (Test T8).
Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License. A Class A license is preferred but not required.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.
Prefer the following certifications:
Certification with International Maxx Force 13 Engines.
Certification in Transportation Refrigeration.
Brake Systems and components.
Tractor A/C Refrigeration and Freon Recovery (609 license required).
Trailer Refrigeration 608 license required if working on trailer units.
Heavy Duty electrical diagnostics and repairs.
Prefer ASE Certification in heavy duty mechanics and Cummins or Detroit certification.

Visually inspect all tire and wheel assemblies for damage or safety issues; repair all tires from the inside using proper procedures; and report any tire or tube which has been run flat, or which has any damage that would render it unsafe
Maintain all personal and company-provided tools and equipment in proper operating condition, and report missing or damaged tools and equipment to management
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment as required
Comply with all OSHA, state and local laws regarding safety, hazardous materials and environmental matters
Attend product, service, equipment and safety training as directed

The primary responsibilities and duties of a Quick Lane technician are as follows:
Visually inspect the vehicle for damage and missing component parts, and immediately report and damage or lost items to management
Complete the Vehicle Inspection Report, and communicate the findings to management and/or the customer
Perform all repairs and services indicated on the Vehicle Inspection Report and the Repair Estimate. If additional needed repairs and services are discovered, immediately communicate that information to management
Follow proper operational and safety procedures when mounting, dismounting and balancing tires, adjusting air pressures, tightening lug nuts, etc.
Visually inspect all tire and wheel assemblies for damage or safety issues; repair all tires from the inside using proper procedures; and report any tire or tube which has been run flat, or which has any damage that would render it unsafe
Maintain all personal and company-provided tools and equipment in proper operating condition, and report missing or damaged tools and equipment to management
Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment as required
Comply with all OSHA, state and local laws regarding safety, hazardous materials and environmental matters
Attend product, service, equipment and safety training as directed
Use appropriate safety equipment in the performance of the job
Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of the facility, including the storage of new and used parts, tires and other items
Report any security violations or unsafe conditions
Assist fellow employees as required
Suggest products, services, equipment or practices which will improve sales, safety, efficiency, or customer satisfaction
Perform any and all service and maintenance work related to the operation of the facility

This position is an entry-level training and development position. This position will perform all tasks associated

What you'll do as an Mechanic I:
Perform preventative maintenance service on tractor and trailers.
Perform light repairs and minor electrical repairs.
Pressure test and diagnose coolant systems.
Check alignments and diagnose problems.
Drive or be trained to drive tractors and or tractor-trailer combinations.
Check and diagnose electrical systems.
Read preventative maintenance list and keep current on preventative maintenance due.
Perform light repairs on 'Driver write-ups' and 'fuel island' repairs.
Work Fuel Island as needed.
Clean shop areas as needed.
Maintain fleet tires.
Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
Obtain a set of tools and tool storage within 3 months of date of hire.
Effectively communicate both written and orally with supervisor and peers.
Follow directions.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Be trained and certified to operate any required equipment within 30 days after hire.
Comply with company attendance policy.
Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the job. Must be available for shop on-call rotation, and able to do road calls using a company vehicle.
Qualifications you'll bring as a Mechanic I:
Have High School Diploma or GED. Tech School classes or equivalent training preferred.
Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License.
Have 2 years experience in preventative maintenance, minor repairs on tractor and trailers, some electrical diagnostics, light repairs, dismounting and mounting tire machine, use of tire bars, and use of tire gun.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.
This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.

The Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on school buses and other company vehicles.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Keep equipment DOT compliant by completing preventative maintenance scheduled, including, but not limited to; installing components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, fuel, exhaust system, braking, steering, hydraulics; air/hydraulic brakes; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, valve mechanisms, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and visual inspections.
